Lively talk on the net about Johnson coming on loan until January (then option to buy) as part of a Sinclair deal. Also a lot of talk about Defoe coming. My view is that we couldn't begin to match their salary demands. There's more talk about Adomah, which is more likely as we can offer Monk, Lita, or Tatey as make-weights. In a similar vein, Ince is being talked up and, as Dobbie is going the other way, maybe a deal is being hatched there. Who knows but it's fun speculating.
For a minute I thought you were referring to Glen Johnson from Liverpool but as you mention a Sinclair deal I figure it's Adam Johnson of Man City?
That's the one, Aswan. I can't understand why Citeh want Sinclair instead of him, if that's what is happening. We certainly can't afford Johnson's wages, nor would I want to, to be honest. Unless they provide a Bellamy type subsidy.
