As well as the toon is anyone here into following another team such as one of our local non league sides. If so who and why? Your local side or another reason.
I am involved in coaching a local boys team at North Shields Juniors (The Magpies). Really looking forward to the new season in september in the Pinpoint Recruitment Junior Football league, Under 12's, Division 4 this year after coming up from 3rd in Division 5 last season.

I'm half English, quarter Italian and a quarter French, although born and raised in Newcastle. Follow Rennes and Sampdoria as those are the teams of my relatives and been to a few of their games whilst over there.

I'll get to see 4-or 5 reserve games, 3-4 gateshead games and about 10-15 local non league games a season, no particular favourite
just like to watch a game when the Toon are not playing at home

I sort of follow Bedlington Terriers and Blyth Spartans but in truth I only rock up for the big games like a true gloryhunter

I also follow the local pub team I played for over many years as I still know a good few of the lads. I showed them the ropes so to speak so I like to see them do well. Plus I like seeing the sufferance now and again after they've been smashed the night before!

Whitley Bay FC is about 2 minutes walk away from my house. The annoying thing is it's right next to Whitey Ice Rink, where all the chavs are, and there's always a group of lads in their hoodies in the car park, most likely dealing drugs. I see them in the middle of the night when I'm on my walks.

Not a nice place to go watch football.

Inside Hillheads itself is always a nice atmosphere. Lots of regulars, a fair few kids and no aggro. The Seahorse pub also has the cheapest beer in Toon

Always keep an eye out for Oxford United results seeing as that's my local team and my old man always took me there as a nipper. Occasionally go to a game every now and again.

Bishop Auckland, my local team, lived here all my life. Like someone already mentioned though, I only ever go for the big games. This season I'll probably be there to see us play Darlo, Spenny, and the local derby with West Auckland, and probably the game with Aycliffe.

Went to uni in Swansea, went to a few home games, always had a soft spot for them.

I follow Berwick aside from Newcastle. Helluva distance to travel for home games but well worth it!

I take an interest in The Heed because I used to go with my mates from school when we were kids. I've been to the International Stadium to watch them when we haven't had a game on but I've been going to all the Home and Away games for years now so haven't been all that much.

Peterborough, my Dads team. I actually see them far more often than Newcastle.

Always check results for Cowyn Bay too

Been to West Ham ( you're right about the fans ) and Wimbledon but I don't believe I've been to Crawley. My favourite London ground is Craven Cottage though.

Did not know you were from Bishop! Where abouts?

I'd be friendly enough with Darren Richardson (just left for Darlo) and my sister's boyfriend plays CB for Aycliffe!

Keep half an eye on Peterborough. Spent some time in Probation, the offices looked out over the ground at London Road, so used to watch them training.
