True, or people will mention the 'D' word. But you shouldn't agree with my prediction, or you'll get Tash onto you! <ok>

    8th.

I just don't think the squad is big enough to cope with all the fixtures so we will drop a few places from last season.

Lol dont want that do i. Actually as often is the case i agree with a lot of what Tash is saying and our opinions seem pretty close here too. Whilst i think 8th is likely i dont think it would be good as we would miss out on europe which i want us to get as opposed to last season where i thought 8th would be decent (tho hoped for higher for europe). I do tho think Liverpool will be a threat because i think they will keep the ball a lot under rodgers and let in fewer goals. We will see.

Ha Ha and of course we are not deluded Geordies. Love to see it tho. The Toon would go ballistic.

Agree with that too - Tash is right about finishing outside of Europe next season could do harm if key players then don't want to stay. But I don't think top 6 is going to be easy.

    Anyway, have some rep! <ok>

My opinion might not be valued but I reckon 7th with two great cup runs. To the quarters or semis in the Europa and then to the semis of either the FA or League cup.

I think you'll finish about 10-15 points above us this year, if we sign well and have a good year.

Yeah get off our board, its Newcastle fans only you dirty bastardo! Nah all welcome over here Disco.

I can't see us getting that far in Europe, mainly because I expect we'll play a weakened younger side a fair bit. We are gonna have to put something down the pecking order if we want to survive the avalanche of games. My vote is the Europa because we have no hope of winning it and its the most draining with travel etc. Plus the youngsters could really learn in that comp.

I don't know, if I was Pardew I'd be looking to have a massive season in the Europa to announce that you've arrived back to the European stage.

European qualification through the league is a tough, tough ask. Liverpool and Chelsea have improved a lot and can't see you finishing above them. No offence, Chelsea should be class this year and I really rate Rodgers as a manager. Everton will be there or there abouts as ever and I think you two will be challenging for 6th. Concentrating on and doing well in the Europa Can't hurt in terms of PR and personnel recruitment.

Teams, that no one would expect, sometimes seem to sneak through the rounds of the Europa. I can see you doing well.

7th or higher, which is easily what we should be aiming for. Although these things are alot easier to judge evern after a few weeks of the season and we see which way thar wind blows. Everton , Spurs and Liverpool have all made changes which make them unpredictable, so its hard to say at this point.

The Observer have us down as finishing 6th:

    1. Citeh
    2. Manure
    3. Chelski
    4. L'Arse
    5. Dippers
    6. TOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!
    7. Toffees
    8. Spuds < (possible Arsenal fan writing this article?)
    9. QPR
    10. Unwashed
    11. Stoke
    12. Vile
    13. West Brom
    14. Fulham
    15. West Ham
    16. Swansea
    17. Wigan
    18. Norwich
    19. Reading
    20. Southampton

I still think that's massively ambitious as, at the end of the season we said we needed: A new LB/RB, a new striker, a new CB and squad cover. We're still waiting on all of them...
