Not sure if it's been posted already but Jonny Waters who was Physio for SAFC died recently , his daughter wanted to advise supporters that his service is at St Hilda's this Wednesday at 10am , I personally was great friends with his son John through primary school - St Hilda's and remember our football team being allowed to train once at Roker Park - condolences to his family RIP
Lovely man, would often see him putting his wife onto a train at Seaburn in the 90's - always had time to speak and pass the time of day.
Sunderland club physio from 60's to the 80's, old school - I used to stand in the Main Stand paddock and the physio's room windows were at the back - the smell of linament sticks in my mind to this day.
