Anybody know what it was? Heard it was poor due to part-timers like me not bothering. Doesn't seem to have been published anywhere (OWS, teletext, etc). Amber Nectar report suggests there looked to be about 6k in there. Can anyone confirm?
felt like a friendly playing it before a league match, i wasnt there either but i bet it was played like one too??
Several people have had a go at me for being critical of some of Bruce's decisions. But at least I had the decency to turn up for his first competitive Hull City game. ****ing shameful yesterday, absolutely ****ing shameful, our new manager has his first real game in charge and no **** turns up. Sometimes I'm ashamed by our support, yesterday was one of those days.
Not a single song from anywhere in the Home stands in the entire match. Rotherham brought a good crowd who sang all the way through. No wonder our lads struggle to perform its like playing in a library - and all you here is the occasional groan when someone makes a mistake!
I didn't go because I am buying me and my dad a season ticket and that is costing me enough. Your you can afford to go then great, I couldn't.
Wind your neck in. I'm most definitely not part time, but I couldn't be arsed to go because it's a **** cup game, I also had more important things to do with my family. It's not like anyone expected the attendance to be high, so why be surprised when it isn't.
I just think, that if I was Bruce and at my first competitive game less than 6,000 turned up and half of them were supporting the opposition, I'd be a bit miffed.
I went and there was some decent banter from the few singing in the West Stand and the way fans. It's usually the case the home fans get outsung by the away fans.
What about the time we took ~70 fans to Hartlepool for a JPT game, three months before we took over 100-times that to Hillsborough?
OLM, most of us have lifes outside of football, i go to all league home games and around 5 or 6 aways a season, i decided go go with my 3 year old to a birthday party instead of football yesterday as thats far more important to me, you might get to every game a season and good for you but dont av ago at fans who choose to spend there free time doing other things when lot of us av spent £400 on a season pass!!!! Its just as shameful to slag off our players like you do Alex Bruce in my eyes!!
I have to say I thought there'd be more than there was. I know it's the cup but it wasn't that long ago that cup games were the one's City fans looked forward to most, more than league games, as it was our only chance of playing a decent side. The fact that the away turn out was good made it look even worse.
Agreed... although I turned up and chanted encouragement at the lads! (As well as winding their number 15 up by shouting "McShane wannabe" the whole game ). I can't go on Saturday as I'm saving up for Charlton away, but if the atmosphere is as dire around the South East Corner as it was on Saturday; I shall have to be the only person giving encouragement from that section!
You're missing the point, I don't care what reason each individual had for not going, the fact is that overall, barely anyone went to our new managers first game, what does that say to him? We got 14,500 at our last cup game and we didn't have a new manager to welcome. Everyone can claim Mickey Mouse Cup all day long, but getting 3-4,000 home fans for a competitive home game at Hull City is embarrassing, really embarrassing.
