Charlie Adam is wanted by Martin O’Neill at Sunderland. The Scotland international left Blackpool for Liverpool last summer, but he at times struggled to find his best form for the Merseyside giants. With Brendan Rodgers now installed as Reds manager, Adam faces an uncertain future, and O’Neill has added him to his list of potential targets. The Sunderland manager is a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old midfielder, and is prepared to pay £7million to lure him to the Stadium of Light.

Have to completely agree. Dirtiest player in the league IMO and gets away with everything at Liverpool. Has twice injured Gareth Bale. I actually rate him as a footballer but detest the way he plays the game. Is going to seriously hurt someone in the game

Would you say Adams is a creative midfielder? He is hard/dirty player and the bin dippers have not taken to him so he may want away I have mixed thoughts about his value less so than Fletcher, but what about his wages?

Very hit and miss, can sometimes hit awesome 40-yard, defence-splitting passes, but is equally likely to blast it out of play or injure someone.

As much as many won't want him, he's better than what we've got at the moment.

He bloody much better than what we've got and he will get us 10 goals from midfield, I hope its true and we snap Liverpool's hand off.

Agreed, reminds me of when we were linked with Darron Gibson and everyone on here was raging, saying he was worse than Gardner, Vaughan, Catts etc, then he went to Everton and performed excellently. Beggars can't be choosers.

Very rarely do you get a big fish in a small pond from a lot smaller club (Blackpool) going to be a little fish in a big pond (Liverpool) and turning into one of the huge fish in that bigger pond.

He was very good for Blackpool even though Vaughan got the player of the season (how the **** that happened I dont know), he went to Liverpool and he struggled, but then so did some of the established players, some players do shine when they move up a lvl, but more often than not they just blend into the pack, and its even more commen if the club buys 3 of them, Henderson, Carroll, Adam in the same season.

after all that garbage ^^^^, i say why not, he is better than Gardner and Vaughan, got a better eye for a killer pass than all of our midfielders, and has an eye for goal and is a pretty good set piece specialist as well.

starting to get annoyed with safc

the current squad is piss poor, we need improvements and were supposedly after plodders like Warnock, Dann and Adam.

Can't wait till MoN brings in a few quality players and puts me in a good mood

you could play him in tandem with Catts, when one is suspended the other could take his place and vice versa.

I am not a massive Charlie Adam fan but I actually think MON might turn him into a fantastic player. He would suit our counter attacking style as he has a great range of passing.

They would only need one pair of boots between them. More money saved.
