Well done to the lad but I hope he gets better recognition from the media people than Hull City did when things got tough in the Premier League, you could almost hear the chuckling when the whole thing unraveled and City were hanging on by a thread. But who would have thought an Olympic Champion from Hull, but lets not forget our other Champion although not Olympic of a few years back, one Karen Briggs.

Getting a monk on because Lineker called Campbell a 'Hullympian'? A slight over reaction <ok>

I haven't got a monk on as such.

Just slightly miffed that the talentless twat had to make some glib, made up line for no reason what so ever.

Unless it was comedy, in that case I missed it.

Can't understand what the problem is with Hullympian. It sounds like something to be proud of to me.

Have you ever heard anyone from Hull day that though?

    I haven't and I suppose that's my point.

Hull is higher in the medal table than India (the second most populous country in the world).

Just treat it as a compliment. I honestly thought that's the way it was intended and I bet Campbell would be happy to be called that.

Alright pal, wise words from a wise man.

My little hissy has fizzled out and I will do just that.

Linekar is still a talentless arse wipe though.

The boy done good but we shouldn't forget the little woman from Leeds... Nicola Adams. Yorkshire as a whole represented well by both of them
And Prescott was the biggest arse... definitely a champion

Mike White, John Prescott, Alex Smith (Olympic hammer thrower), Hull College and plenty of others.

Its something to be proud of, its easily this cities best achievement since we went up and possibly ever, and hardly and other Olympians have had their hometown mentioned as much as Luke and Hull.
