    Today's newspaper, De Telegraaf, reports that NUFC have made an improved bid of 6.3 million pounds without any added clauses.
    Anita has told the Ajax board that they should coorperate to make this transfer happen.

    Quite a sensible guy on twitter I follow has said all the Dutch people he speaks to can't understand why we're offering so much for someone who's nothing special.

    Never seem him myself do can't judge but that's a bit worrying. Surely adding a million euros onto the Debuchy bid would be a better use of funds?

    But anyway... In Carr we trust

    At full back his size may be an issue at times although this didnt hamper John Beresford much who was the same size. In midfield i think it is irellevant if he is good enough or strong enough or both. Just off the top of my head Dennis Wise (Boooo) and Alan Ball were like Bez and Anita 5ft 6in David Mcreery 5ft 6.5in while Beardsley was only 5ft 8in and of course at 5ft 7in Lionel Messi is a decent player.

    Throw in Iniesta, midfield 5ft 7in and Baines, left back 5ft 7in and i think Anita at 5ft 6in is easily tall enough. The height as i say is irrellevant, its the quality that counts.

    Eredivisie Live reporting: The deal is done, Ajax accepted the 6.3 million pounds bid on Anita and the midfielder from Curaçao is expected to play his last game for Amsterdam this afternoon against AZ. Manager Frank de Boer says he is pissed about the departure of Anita on which he relied heavily last season. Anita is still in talks about his contract but it won't take long to seal the deal.

    More news to be expected today or tomorrow.
