Blackpool unlikely to sign QPRâs forgotten man Friday, August 10, 2012 9:11 PM Transfer news: DJ Campbell is likely to leave the Râs this summer Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has conceded that he is unlikely to sign QPRâs forgotten man DJ Campbell. The Tangerines have been linked with the 30-year-old, who left Bloomfield Road for west London. âI donât want to tell our fans that we might get DJ Campbell back. I donât think thereâs a chance in a million at the moment of doing that, because of his club, what theyâre looking for and how much theyâre paying him at the moment,â Holloway told BBC Radio Lancashire. âHeâs got another couple of years on that so does he need to take a cut or go backwards? I donât think so. Will they pay him some of the rest of the money? I donât think so. âWhy should he lose out? Whether they want him or not, they have to honour the contract. Itâs nobody elseâs fault other than what QPR decided to pay him when they took him on.â
The Mirror has Olly signing Barton on a season long loan. Find it hard to believe, as that would be kissing Premiership football goodbye for Barton. Here's hoping.
