Absolutely SCREAMING out to be developed! The most obvious site of all. Would be delighted if this came off!

It doesnt look a great site to me, everyone will be streaming onto 1 road as its hemmed in, no really close tube or rail stations unless they build another one on the line to the north.

Flyer, do you not like walking? It's 5 minute walk to white city and wood lane, 10 for fat bastards.

I would my money on this as heard rumbles and they will drop in another station on the overground above SB ... with the amount of parkland around the area it has to be a prime candidate as well as still in W12 as he was quoted as saying ... I bet there they are discussing the station

Good location for transport (East Acton/White City/Wood Lane) as well as buses for those of us who don't fancy the walk.
Also with the stadium being in the vicinity of Wormwood Scrubs, we may be able to save money on road closures as well.

This site is also where they are putting a new station for the new high speed 2 rail line I think in 2018.

On the money. Can put a part time station ( match days and gigs) on the cross rail route between Acton Main line and Paddington. Less than 10 minutes from Tottenham Court Road. Perfect for dragging in West End shoppers to fill the near vertical stands. The rest of us will be within 10 ft of the pitch lower down.

My old man used to park on the Du Cane Road in the 70s, 10 minute walk to LR max.

Flyer, can exit onto Du Cane Road and Scrubs Lane, bet improving access will be part of the whole development.

Hope this is true, was beginning to resign myself to Southall

When I was ten years old I used to nip over to the West London Stadium to watch the Rangers train. ( 1976 ) Sometimes they would let me join in and Dave Thomas would buy me a lemon tea in the canteen after. The man is a legend and the whole team although at the top of their game at the time were very accomodating. Good times.

Linford stadium has always seemed like the perfect location, huge amount of space and next to loftus.
Prob was always if hospital and jail would back it but if think about h&f regeneration project in white city and whitefields then extending to east acton makes sense

We guarantee to build a stadium in a huge place like the scrubs there has to be infrastructure additions which the council will commit to subside and lets be honest east acton (I am from there) needs the injection a major stadium will bring

Would b perfect for the hoops and perfect for local area and council would love it surely??

Truly hope this is our location as perfect for all, u super hooppppppssssaaaaa!!!!

Ps also ran around there, was rubbish, no good memories, knock it down ;)

I would imagine theyd need to do something with the access, a big tube station sounds perfect.

Its also ideal for concerts as theres very little housing around. Maybe they can also build a bridge over the railway line like at the Emirates so people can funnel away to the north as well.

many transport links although i dont really give a **** about that personally <laugh> great for me as i have been very, very, very anti moving out of w12 although the affect this would have on local community is yet to be seen, and will probably only be negative

this also means i could never ever see the council giving permission to any move in the near future that ends up in the stadium being removed aka i very much doubt this will happen

I'm not being negative but would it not be a problem being right next to the prison due to security and stuff ??
    Just wondering......

Put it on the Shepherds Bush market instead! Anyone who's walked through it knows it's a dump with crappy stalls. And we get to keep the pie and mash shop. Great transport links and perfect location wise. ;-)
