After reviewing the clubs website, LUST thinks it might have given up claiming to know everything a little too early.... Takeover now on (thanks to LUST of course) so lets all thank Big.... My ARSE
Either show some proof that that's their motivation or you'll be judged as a stupid and spiteful ****.
They never said the takeover or any investment bids were thanks to them. You're imagining it. They said they'd spoken to several groups, shown them a presentation, persuaded them to speak to Bates, and had a source close to the group given the exclusivity period. No more. Look through their statement history if you don't believe me, or come up with quotes of your own to back up your argument, or it will be null and void.
Either show some proof that that's their motivation or you'll be judged as a stupid and spiteful ****. But thats what he is Jerel
I posted deal still in progress immediately after LUST announced its off. I lost faith in LUST when they released the damaging "player statement" and this latest sideshow doesn't help their cause. They should now just keep quiet and work for the fans, like speaking to the club about things that make it a better experience when visiting Elland Road rather than political or financial stuff.
Wrong. You posted deal still on after the club posted a statement saying they were open to other offers, and all you said was Bates was open to offers.
I doubt that Bates will stay in charge until he dies, there must be too many offshore accounts to safely let someone else resolve them. So a takeover for the right price must be on the cards. So lets keep souring the milk and make a takeover seem the only option for Mr Bates.
I think he knows he has to sell, but only an idiot would think he would make it an easy and straightforward process.
I don't think anyone would disagree with that Simon but in my view, he will have to sell, and once it is clear we will not be promoted this year, and the crowds are down and the cashflow is non-existent, Bates will either have to sell quick or cover the debts. Any idea that some on here have that he will let the club disintegrate or just sell everyone and we end up in League 2 as we get relegated time after time is phooey - that would reduce the value of the club to practically worthless, so his only option is to sell while we are at our current level. And from what I have been hearing, Harvey has been showing a little more backbone recently in standing up to him.
