Actually it is quite simple. I along with over a thousand others bought a trust membership of Stirling Albion FC, that means I was one of the owners of the club when it was passed on to the supporters to run in 2010. I continue to own a trust membership of Stirling Albion FC and I am very proud of what they have managed to achieve (off the field) since the supporters took the club over. I was a Director of a business that owned healthcare businesses throughout the UK and Europe, my main skill being HR & Legal items. I took early retirement last year and have enjoyed doing very little since. Not sure what you see wrong with this, perhaps I'm missing something. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Edit: Also in my younger days I played football to a decent level, I was on a few clubs books at youth level and had it not been for smoking, drinking and women I may have made it. I have up to level 3 coaching badges for youth football development and have scouted for a few clubs. Again not to sure what causes you so much issue with this, it's hardly a glorious achievement.

I don't take issue with it as a lifestyle, I just find it extremely unlikely, and odd how you tend to conveniently have a relevant story to pluck every time someone questions you on your expertise on a particular issue.

Also as Kissa says, I do like to dip my rod now and again.

Relevant story! Anyway, to be honest I couldn't care less what you or the other bloke think, I know what I have done with my life, perhaps you should concentrate on your own. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

LUST at best are enthusiastic amateurs and serve no useful purpose in the take over process. They remind me of a committee in a working mens club. They should disband or at least shut up.

They're sticking up for you, me and other Leeds fans you ingrate. If they're silent or non-existent, it's US who lose. Can you really not see that? No-one to seek fresh investment for the club, fight court cases for wrongly banned fans, look for new ways to improve the matchday experience, try get some hope and optimism about this ****-stain of a football club in its present form.

What have they done that's been amateurish, and I mean specifically?

I can't give specifics as I have not been involved in the process, but I can read between the lines and it is clear to me that LUST are NOT welcome by all parties and that their continued presence is doing more harm than good.

Which are those lines that you're reading between then? What to you suggests that LUST's presence is doing harm?

Clearly Bates and his team do not want them involved, in that situation, they should have removed themselves and only asked for first response to information.

Accepting Bates at face value, overstating the casee saying the takeover was on. Yesterday saying its off, only to have to come back today and say it might be back on. Its like reading twitter but without the humour.

Well it's not helping. They are the chief rumour mongers at the minute. Dont know anything but peddling anything they are told.

To be honest, I doubt there is a single Leeds United supporter that would ever take Bates on face value.

They're not actually involved in the takeover though, just talking to some groups. Bates willingly accepted that bid knowing that LUST would have contacts, and the others were mentioned non-dismissively in the initial club statement. So they clearly haven't compromised anything there.

I.e. reporting the facts as they get them. Like I said, how are they supposed to win when they get shafted from both sides, some wanting info, others wanting silence? The only way they can continue to show they're not out of the picture is by bringing this news to the fanbase, who more than deserve to know it. Every other takeover's details get leaked to the press, so why shouldn't ours?

They report talks are underway -> days later, the club confirm this.
They report an exclusivity period -> days later, the club confirm this.
They tacitly confirm Sheikh Abdulrahman is the bidder -> days later, the press confirm this.
They report breakdown -> days later, the club confirm this.

How are these not facts? I'm fairly sure they're intelligent enough to wade through the propaganda, they've been doing it long enough with the Bates edicts!
