Rejoice at our good fortune brother Jerel. Summon all your courage and be happy for the bigger club, for we will gather 6 points from you this season. Here endeth the lesson.
200% profit for us when we sold him to you. Just need someone to load the gun for him now. Snoddy is a fair player though. It's ok, though, when your new investers turn up you'll be able to make some quality signings, if papa smurf hasn't already frightened them off.
I can't think of much to say that wouldn't be stating the obvious. Just once in a while, something happens to restore your faith in the beautiful game, and while I'm under no illusion that he won't be on a huge wage, he did choose to come home when many prem clubs would have parted with good money to get his services. I also think it's worth acknowledging the part Liverpool FC played in this and I for one am grateful to them. Good luck Bellers. It's great to have you back home mate. Let's hope you can complete the Roy of the Rovers scenario.
Shall we go and get Mac back from Weeds? they are prime for the picking being such a selling skint club .
I'm not going to ban someone for a typo you nutter! I'd have to ban ymself. And Aber. Definitely Aber.
Evening Cling. I agree that Bellamy could have been mercenary and seen out his contract on significantly more than we will pay him. The salary will be higher than anyone else at the club by some margin I would think, but small in terms of his earning potential. I hope that difference doesn't destabilise the squad. I've said elsewhere that we will get more out of Bellamy this time round than last time. A more structured game plan and a greater team ethic will see us making better use of him and others benefiting from what he can provide in terms of service. Too often last time he made a run that wasn't spotted or made a pass or cross that wasn't read or acted upon. Heider, Etien, Mason and Earnie will all benefit (and take advantage of) the service he will provide. Similarly, Whitts and Heider (and hopefully Mutch and Ralls) will make more and better use of him as an outlet and he'll get more attacking support from Taylor. We shouldn't pile too much expectation on one player but he won't be needing to carry the workload he did last time which will make him all the more dangerous. Besides his goalscoring ability, others will be able to pull the trigger on the gun he will load. Happy days.
O Watch out, here come the cavalry! Smacks of jealousy, coincidence you appear just after the signing of the season? Anyway back on track: I think it's the missing piece that could make the difference. He'll score goals, help the youth immeasurably and load the proverbial gun - So pleased to see him back!
Great news. Could start for any of the top 4 in the PL. Pressures on Malky - top 2 has to be the target. Im confident. Promotion party getting planned.
Hiya remote. Absolutely right mate, and what's more, this time around he is on our books. It's a completely different set up since last time he was here. I don't think his wages will destabilise the dressing room - let's face it, Bellers won't tolerate it! His arrival at the club is huge in every aspect; on the pitch, club profile, commercial and, in the dressing room. A huge morale boost for all the players around him, all of which will have huge respect and admiration for the man after his heroics at the Olympics. You're also right about managing expectations of him, though I suspect he struggles with that himself! I think however, that this and other signings have piled the pressure on Malky, and as said by someone earlier in this thread, I hope he's up to it for his sake as well as ours.
I agree with the respect bit Clingo. There was a good piece from an interview with Hudson praising him from the last time round, not just for his playing ability but his profesionalism and behaviour off the pitch and his influence in training and in the dressing room. 433 next friday. Bellamy Heider Mason Whitts Mutch Gunnar Taylor Turner Huds Kev Marshall Gerrard in for a torrid time, especially when Etien comes on for Heider and Kimbo on for Mason with 20 to go!
Hell yes Remote, that brilliant line up- and enough quality players on the bench to put together another side capable of competing against most in the league. In my 20 years of watching Cardiff, I have to admit that this is a first, a teeeny bit better than the days of selling for money and survival. Fresh change, I'll be off down the bookies soon
I think we will be 4 - 2 - 3 -1 Marshall Kev Turner Hudson Taylor Gunnar , Mutch , Cowie Whitts Bellamy Mason Dont think Kim will be available and I think Malky will stick with Cowie. Id play Heider though and play Mason behind.
