Yankee great post mate! and that's how I see it too, but I know for a fact that there are three other players considering moving, why? because the top teams have made their interest known, only a fool would be complacent, and not realise the fact that the Exodus is Well Underway, so lets look at the facts, Siggy had been agreed, and personal terms too, but we lost him, thanks to Brenda, and if she had got her way Siggy would have been at Anfield, only Spurs we can thank for putting the spoke in there, now Joe Allen has gone, and Sinclair would go at a drop of a hat, I know that we are also close on losing Taylor, not sure on Ash though, but if a worse case scenario where too happen, then that is far too many changes, and I don't care how good Laudrup is, that would be too many changes to manage in my view, I could well be wrong, and I hope your perspective is on the money, but we can't go on every season, losing bloody managers and top players, something will give and that probable will be our signiture style of play!..............
selling club unfortunately phil, however having said that, there are always cheaper, better options hiding away somewhere, good scouting network is required as i am sure ML has
I see it a bit different. We have an exodus of one. Caulker & Sigurdsson were on loan and everyone else is just speculation at this point. Get a grip man ..and Michelle Vorm ... who's she?
please log in to view this image Michel Vorm sister! Nice one aswan, I can always count on you.....................
Is it 'Reputation Power'?. I think you can give it to another poster somehow, but it's completely pointless.
Well i dont know why anyone is surprised....Im not like i have said many times on here....dont worry or fret about it as its only a game of football where players and managers are only in it for themselves and themselves only...We are swansea city a small club that make ordinary players into good players, we are massivly punching above our weight and every single one of our players and managers are only with us until something bigger and better comes along......Thats the way the cookie crumbles im afraid, thats football.....dont worry about it.....
You need to let go of your bitterness. We bought Allen and Borini as they are quality YOUNG players who still have a lot of learning, developing and improving to do so think how good they could become under Rodgers at a bigger club playing European football so learning even more. We will finish well above you in the table. Only your anger makes you feel differently. We'll see hwat the neutrals have to say about were they think our respective clubs will finish, but I've already seen one neutral fan who thinks with losing Allen and Sinclair you could be fighting relegation. We'll be fighting for Europe, if we really achieve then even Champs League. There is absolutely no way we will finish 8th or worse next season. We already have a better team and a better Manager and coaching staff. Last night has made me more confident of this as you can see a lot of the players have already adapted well to Brendan's style and had us playing the Liverpool way again like we used to under the bootroom Managers. If they have adapted this well so quickly given more time, and the addition of Allen to the most important part of the team, I only see us getting better, However, I am not niave. I know there are pitfalls, and I know Buck has some weaknesses and limitiations, but hopefully these will have less of an effect with us as he is playing his way with better players which will hopefully be the difference. I am hopeful for the future and you lot have a good young Manager to so you shouldn't be too worried about this supposed 'exodus'. I still don't think you'll be close to going down but I honestly can't see you doing as well as last season, especially when you factor in 'second season syndrome'.
Good... hoping the transfers are going to roll in now. We won 3-0 last night, good birthday present as any that haha.
As much as I love Sinclair and Allen, they really aren't worth £22M, Sinclair didn't even have a great season! Laudrup must be licking his lips, up to £30M to spend on players of his choice. IMO this is a blessing in disguise for the Swans.
Is Sinclair worth 8 million playing for us this season & then leave on the free after , I'd be biting the hand off of this deal more than any other !!
Correct, monty. A great chance for the new Manager to build a team. I love what I'm seeing so far. If players want to go let 'em. You can't make someone stay. Seems to me that there are fans that really take things personally when there's a departure. As Dai says, that's football. People come, people go and hysteria doesn't help. We'll replace with better at a fraction of the price. Just watch. Sinclair is predictable at this level. Always cuts inside. Would rather keep him but hey ho. If he wants to go bye bye. Not sure we're a "selling club" quite yet as musty says but I see us developing talent or bringing in relative unknowns and selling at a huge profit in the future. Provided they do a job for us in the interim then so be it. Aswan (post 23): Exactly.
I agree with most of what you are saying as why join swansea when you can play for liverpool......I dont think we will get relegated this season as we have a good structure and it dont matter who leaves we will get the right player to fill their space and carry on as we are. Next season we will probably lose more players who have performed well and the cycle will start over again...that the way things are with teams like us. The main thing is we must not appoint a manager who will change things to much as that is the time we will slide down the leagues. I could not care less who moves on from us because that is what players and managers do with teams like us.....All we can do is maintain standards and not follow anyone else in spending stupid sums of money just to buy a player. we should replace the players we lose with players in the right wage bracket and keep doing as we are....there are plenty of joe allens, sinclairs and ashley's out there that have not had a break yet and its the scouts job to identify them...Im confident that we wont finish in the bottom three this season........good 3-0 win by the way.....
Young homegrown english man with low value and low wages, so they can sell Adam Johnson for £15mil and cut his huge wages off the bill is my best guess.
"I've already seen one neutral fan who thinks with losing Allen and Sinclair you could be fighting relegation". "We'll be fighting for Europe". Well that's it then fellow Jacks. A solitary neutral fan has condemned us to The Championship the season after next. Better get your season ticket applications in now. Can you believe this guy, what an arrogant person, especially when he says "We'll be fighting for Europe". So will every other Club in the Premier League, but not all will make it. Liverpool, sorry,Swansea Reserves, may well make it,but you are a touch premature with your forecast.
Didn't see that comment Vetch. They don't know us very well do they? Of the two I'm more concerned about losing Sinclair but neither player is irreplaceable and Sinclair is yet to convince most of us he can be effective at this level. £23M? SHOW US THE MONEY!
Don't you lot come out with this **** every year? It's a big joke don't you know. You've surpassed the Geordies in making ****s out of yourselves now.
