Women's boxing!

To start off I'm not the biggest fan of women fighting.
I love boxing though.
I have to say they have been impressive.
I agree with what Lennox Lewis said the other day, with the protective gear on with some of them they look as good as the men.
For some reason the BBC has been making a big deal about some Irish woman.
Why she isn't British?
I also think the Russian beat her in the final and the partisan Irish crowd swayed the judges just enough.

Now though what about that little bundle of Dynamite Nicola Adams?
She beat a 5 times world champion to get to the final.
She is fighting the present World champion who has beat her the last two times they fought.

And she absofuckinglutely destroyed her.

Well done Nicola.

Also aye Adams was great.

 

I believe that this Olympics will have proved once and for all that women's boxing is there on merit..Adams was fantastic, and what a lovely personality she has too.
I think that the Irish girl got so much publicity because she is generally regarded as the top female boxer in the world at her weight, and also Ireland's only realistic chance of a gold medal...The fight with the Russian girl was very close, but I think the result was fair.
PS..If any sport is going to get banned from the Olympics because of the dangers it will be BMX: it's bloody deadly.

 

Too right MrRAW I watched that it was bloody carnage. Enjoyed it though but a lot of luck needed to win that one

 

Shooting and Archery should be dropped as there is zero athleticism involved

 

I am - as long as it's a bath of jelly wearing only skimpy bikinis they can fight all they want

It is the Republic of ireland or Eire which is not part of G B, as far as i know. They had the best supporters at euro 2012.
