I know i will get slated from you guys for this but where are our new signings. Now with only 1 pre eason game left i thought we may of seen a bit more activity at SMS. Why do we year in year leave it so late to get players in? I thought maybe this year would be different for being back in the big time and wanted to get of to a solid start with a settled team but that will not happen now(again). The signings we have made are very very good championship players but very much unproven in the premeir league. That is what we really need a bit of experience but as far we have seen none of that. Time is running out. Cue abuse.
So you all happy and content with the team that we have. Think we have the depth to compete against top quality teams that we will be playing week in week out.
Do you think one or two new signings will give us the depth to compete with top quality teams? Do you think all we need to have a chance against Man City is one slight improvement at CB?
"Proven" PL players set you back silly fees like £12m for Fletcher. We got Rodriguez who is younger and probably better too for £7m. By going PL proven you end up paying more than you would for unproven, but better, players. We know quality when we see it and the signings so far are smart ones.
Don't worry about it. There's still ten days left and we're nearly done anyway. And if you expected the squad to be Lambert, Lallana and nine new players, well that was never going to happen.
Let's go with with what we've got. And if we end up playing in a Hants League instead of this circus, I for one will be glad.
