    Alright guys.

Can you help out in a little argument. This will not matter to you, but as an opinion, who is the biggest club in Wales?

    Swansea city or cardiff city?

Cardiff City aren't even a proper club. They are a toy of a deluded owner with even more deluded fans. They think they're bigger than Man Utd,when in reality they're playing second fiddle in their own country !

Cardiff for me, longer recent history at higher levels and 2 recent 'major' cup finals.

Swansea may well be currently in the Premier League but they were only promoted through the play-offs, with a little luck, like Swansea, Cardiff could have been in the Premier League in 2010.

Cardiff City fans have also been unfortunate to not have seen their team qualify for Europe. They were beaten by Portsmouth in the FA Cup Final in 2008 and by Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final in 2012. Both Portsmouth and Liverpool had not qualified for Europe via their own league position.

Portsmouth were the 1st club since Everton in 1994 to win the FA Cup and not finish in the top 4 of the Premier League meaning Cardiff didn't qualify as a losing finalist like most other runners-up! Defeat to Liverpool in the 2012 Carling Cup was both undeserved and unusual because Liverpool have only finished outside the top 5 on 4 occasions in last 18 years!!

Happy to step in and settle this, without doubt it is Wrexham...just kidding. Who cares, what even constitutes being a big club anyway?

    Swansea City.

Fuck Cardiff. If they could be compared to a footballer, they'd be Rohan Ricketts.

Isn't Bangor City the only Welsh Club to have had a player in the world player of the year shortlist?

    I rest my case.

Its not the size of the club that counts...

Seriously though... there isn't one single definition for biggest. Cardiff probably have a more successfull history. Cardiff probably have more fans.

Swansea has a higher current position... and more likely to win if the two clash.

Cardiff perhaps has more fanatic fans... but Swansea has more potential for growth in fan base, success, and finances in near future... and better draw for talent.

Ironically... could Everton be considered Wales biggest club since it is the one supported by most Welsh people?

I think the whole biggest club argument is silly tbh.

to be fair if you go out of europe most people have never heard of wales or cardiff and until resently swansea, now people see the swans all over the world. Swansea are now a far more well know club on the global scale than cardiff and have a rapidly growning forign fan base which cardiff simply does not have. on the home front in wales its now probrually 50/50 though swanseas fan base is growing alot quicker than cardiff
