and where is his best position?

I personally think he has lost his way and i would like to see mini tiote, abeid and sammy ahead of him in terms of youngsters coming through. People raved about him when he come and i know he is still young but i cant see him making it big

I've said it on other threads about our most promising youngsters. In comparison to Abeid, Bigirimana, Amalfitano, Sammy and Tavernier he looks poor.

Like you've said he's still verry young but his progression seems to have stalled. I hope he kicks on because, before injuries hit, he had a few decent cameo's last season

He's shown a lot of class, but inconsistent in front of goal. He needs a loan move.

He looked pretty good last night. Put a good shift in.

Definitely needs a loan. He's got his advantages, a hell of a left foot on him, and his height must give him good strength. Needs to work on his control and positioning imo.

This. Other youngsters we have have 'impact sub' qualities, be it raw pace or attacking ability, I don't think Vuckic can really be used that way, he's more the sort of guy who needs a full match to settle into his pattern.

I still rate him but agree that he needs a season-long loan to a Championship side to really help him develop. He's had some impressive shots for us but I see him more as a quiet grafter, the sort who doesn't get a look in with 75' on the clock.

I've said from the first few times I saw him play that I don't think he'll make it as a premier league player, hes far too immobile IMO

There's a lot of hype around him that I have never quite understood, however I hope I'm wrong and he can start to show something more this season, hes a very like-able guy, seems to want to work hard and definitely has skill, just not as much as people like to bang on about.

I agree that a 6 month loan deal where he would get more first team opportunities would be a great bet, then have him back for January and see what he can do.

I think he's better than Gosling...

Loan move might be good for him, but I think we could keep him and play him in the Cups and European games. He's not a bad player by any stretch, and if he got the opportunities I'm sure he'd prove me right. He's really not had enough football recently to be tossed away on a whim. Ben Arfa came back yesterday and was shocking. Match-sharpness isn't something that Vuckic alone requires.

He scored a good goal vs Hartlepool and again in a reserve game today. He's got class, I'm sure he'll find himself with more first-team football this season.

Abeid, Amalfitano, Bigiramana and Sammy are all better imo.

Is Sammy supposed to be a striker, a left-winger or an Att-mid? I still can't tell...

    Maybe he's a transformer... Sammyatron <whistle>

Not a clue <laugh> Wherever he plays, he looks better than Shola ever did (Excluding those two games a season where he's better than ronaldo <whistle>)

Very average, it has to be said. I don't know how anyone could say differently because he certainly hasn't showed anything more in games.

    <rofl>

ORT, did you not see the West Brom home game, he was quite impressive in that... bigi and Amouthful haven't played for the first-team yet, and while the latter at least looks class, it's harsh saying they are better without any evidence.
Sammy played ****e against Chelsea, except he ran a bit, and I can't even remember an Abeid first team performance... So I don't get how all of these are better prospects?

They do look good players, but is it pre-season that has got people saying Vuckic is average? If so, I reckon he could prove a lot of people wrong!

I don't think he's average in ability, but I think he's underperforming. He needs games, and it will be hard for him to get them with us. Loan him to Brimingham until Christmas and see how things look then.

I think he's got a good game in him and that he'll come good. I'm sure Pards will get the best out of him before too long.

Sammy played ****e in every game pretty much. If his last name wasn't Ameobi he would've been written off by you lot long ago.

Vuckic just needs more game time - He'll come good.

    I'm saying nothing <whistle>

Also, Basing my opinion on Sammy on what I've seen in pre season. He seems to have decent pace, first touch, and can take a man on. Probably needs to work on his product, but that depends where we decide to play him.

The left wing in the friendly against Darlo and he just about brought the game to an end.
