Apparently Real want to ship him out on loan for a season and Arsenal were favorites to get him, but the last I heard the two Milan clubs had both stepped in and now AC are favorites to get him.
Sounds like a story that's only coming out of Brazil (and PSG have not kept their bids very secretive lately) to try and bait someone else, probably United, in to making another bid, not that I'm really too bothered if he was to join PSG anyway. He's got excellent potential, but he's not a player we desperately need now, I have the likes of Sahin, Witsel and even Fellaini higher on my wishlist.
For the kind of money they are demanding for an almost unproven youngster, not many teams will be willing to take a punt on him unless they need to bolster the squad, and even then only the usual big names would probably be willing to splash out a lot of cash on a young player. Of those usual big names, PSG have already splashed out on Lavezzi to go with the likes of Menez and Nene who they already had, Real have one of the best offensive units in world football at the minute so really don't need him, Barce spent big on Sanchez last season and have Villa coming back as well as having some promising young wingers/inside forwards of their own breaking through from the youth set up, City seem like the need to offload before adding to the squad, Chelsea have already spent big on attacking players like Hazard, Marin and Oscar and all of the Italian teams except for Juve are being very careful with their cash, and Juve already have a big squad of attacking players. To be honest, unless someone like Anzhi Makhachkala come in with a stupid bid for him, I really don't see Lucas Moura going anywhere for the price they are obviously hoping to get for him, at least not until he proves himself a bit more on the world stage.
My money is on Sahin or Baines. I get the feeling the Moura deal was never on the cards once they tried to hike up the price which is why there are so many rumor stories coming out of Brazil at the minute, and Arsenal want a lot of money for RVP, yes he is a very good player but he has a pretty poor history of injuries and with only a year left on his contract I don't think he's worth what Wenger apparently wants for him (£20 million minimum is what I read somewhere).
I personally hope it's Sahin, I know Arsenal are being heavily linked with him but I'm hoping his former Dortmund teammate Mr. Kagawa can persuade him to choose us over Arsenal. He's probably working on signing someone we aren't expecting at all, just because he can.
Would be a great signing... I remember I made a thread about him before he joined Real... He's being wasted there.... And at 23 how long can he accept sitting on the bench?
Good to hear the Moura to United rumours have cooled down with PSG interested in the player and willing to pay more than us for an unproven Brazilian.
