I knew that there would be a few niggles but find accessing news that's not on the Player (49p per day?) a real drag. Anyone else feel the same? I am going to ask the club why the gallery from Bristol isn't working this morning too!
I'm not keen. Also, I could view the old website on my mobile really well, but now I have to zoom in just to read the text and it takes so long to load up. Changes aren't always for the better.
I don't really mind to be honest. I'm not on there an awful lot. Any breaking news of interest will be on here anyway, although I will be using Saints Player when the season starts for commentaries (although a lot more will be on national radio this season).
I cant stand it at the momment. Can not get on with it, much prefered the other one. I wear glasses and i find it very differcult to read the white on a black background. It seems very dark and navigation is not the best.
I was thinking about this topic this morning as I was cursing the new site and blaming the fact that I'm an old git. It would seem this may not be so, so thanks fellow Saints! The mobile point is one that drives me mad in particular, and as said, I find I am using Saints Player more just to get any news
Hate it! Hard to read and hard to get where you want to fast. A classic case of style over substance - and it's not even that stylish. FAIL.
Used to be able to open quickly to see if any fresh news..now it can take 4 stages to open up and you still can't see the whole screen. It may have good points that I haven't discovered yet, but I absolutely hate it.
I really dislike it - there are too many things to click to access the news I want to read and I find white on black horrible to read. I just use the RSS feed when I can make it work.
It's not great but I can't pretend I really care. SaintsPlayer works fine, and all the news is on here/other websites. Not gonna waste any energy trying to bring myself to care about it.
Not a great website - finding news articles is so much harder as well as distinguishing between Player & News
Its bloody awful. Not Saints fault, its the same layout & coding for all the clubs with that website provider (which is most). I know they are tied into a long term contract with penalties if they end it early, but surely an independent web provider could do a better job, plus the in-house staff at St Mary's. The layout is terrible, the splash page pop-up deeply annoying, the galleries are a step backwards in quality. It loads stupidly slowly for a modern website. Bloody crap that to read a match report you have to reload another page (that's a 10 year backward step) The mobile version is pathetic. Content is less than previous versions. Saints have sold a right lemon by FL interactive. The fact that its a Football League owned company, pretty much in itself shows how its not of Premiership standard.
Is anyone else having problem with Saints Player? When I login to my account and click on a video it takes me to a different page saying "register for Saints Player"!? I´ve tried a few times but it keeps doing the same.
Watched it this morning and just signed on successfully again. When that happened before it was my fault for having caps off. Did happen a while ago and site was down, but no problem at moment.
I have tried hard to like it but I have given up, it is far too complex, all I want is news of the Club, the Team and the Stadium, not all the other dross that comes in the packet. I can't get anywhere with Player as my Broadband is so poor, not the Clubs fault this time, it's down to BT.
Not keen. I much preferred the old site, for ease of navigation. That splash page that pops up when you go on to the site is nothing short of irritating and is bad web design (not that I'm any kind of expert but, as a 'consumer' it is just crap).
It used to open instantly and you could see the headlines with one glance. Now I can't be bothered as it's slower than the Echo site. Probably just check not606 and wait till one of you notice something.
