But there is no gentle upward progress!!! In my opinion the team looks mid-table standard and I'm allowed to say that if it's what I think! I'm not looking for negatives any more than I am looking for positives, I've weighed them both up and in my opinion we're short of where we should be. I bring Warnock up because people wouldn't be happy with this squad under any other manager, and to be perfectly honest I'm not sure even he thinks we're where we should be, would that make him delusional and negative too?

We were better placed to get out of this division when Eddie Gray was in charge. Do you remember how well that went Elmo?

Ignore him/her mate, it is the same old thing just a different day. You are negative you don't support Leeds, he/she gets pulled to pieces on it they back off for a week and then the circle starts again. See this thread exactly a week ago http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/159288-When-did-you-stop-supporting-LUFC?p=3211757#post3211757 Just 8 weeks ago from that post I was being accused of being too positive

That's a shocking thing to say - EG was one of our worst managers and we never did anything under him, and we had some terrible players. How he got a second chance in the 80s I will never know, and then to get a third chance more recently was another weird decision.

We are definitely progressing. Last 15 games of last season was relegation form. Losing 7-3 to Forest, rolling over and die-ing against the rest of the teams was awful. Having taken on 10 new players and got rid of loads of that squad, we are looking much more solid and much more capable of a shot at the play-offs.

Ristac - nice edit. I ma still awaiting your "sources" of world media. Because I had done a google search to find them prior to asking you to produce your world media sources and - lo and behold -the only place that has any match report is SkySports, and they certainly say nothing other than we had to work hard.

If you are going to lie, at least make it a plausible lie. Either that, or stop making stuff up just to back up your "opinion", because that is all I am doing - asking you to prove your back up that you claim and you haven't and can't.

chip van man - who said anything about the players reading this forum? I certainly didn't. The depressing attitude is being filtered into the fans, and some have stopped seeing the difference between slating the regime and slating the guys who actually do the football. That then translates into a very edgy atmosphere in ER where no player is able to make any mistake, instead of encouragement. Marching on together, as Farsley says? My arse.

You were right mate but then no surprise as I did listen to the commentary <ok> They passed it beautifully through our midfield time and time again, we were just hoof it forward direct approach, disappointing.

Looks like they had a fair share of the game but we managed to restrict them to long range efforts. Possibly need to work on closing the man down quicker on the edge of the box.

We also look more of a threat from set pieces this season. Varney looks decent in the air for his size

    All great goals too <ok>

Exactly Logi. They had one or two shots from within the area, one of which hit the bar. How many times did Preston "get through"? Hardly any. Passing is all well and good, but if it breaks down every time or you are restricted to long range shots only, you really have not done anything other than look pretty.

We stopped them from doing anything, which is exactly what we wil do to many teams this year, and we will be there or thereabouts by doing that

Glad Leeds United, one of the greatest clubs in European football history, are certain to be 'there or thereabouts'. Really puts that excitement in your heart again, doesn't it?

And I'll make sure never to voice my opinions just in case people read them and are affected in such a way that they are negative at the stadium. Incidentally Elmo, how many songs did you start at Deepdale to support the lads? :)

They managed to get into our penalty area or on the edge of it with the ball and a half chance or decent chance 14 times, a little more than once or twice unless I am watching a different Youtube clip to you? They never got a shot off because of their own terrible finishing or lack of the finishing, I don't expect Championship clubs to do the same. They breezed through our solid midfield, it really wasn't any kind of promising display...

At £31 a ticket I expect to be able to voice my opinion. If it makes you feel better elmo I think you are right. We will win the champions league in 2015. rofl
Until then: Bates should be gone and we should be buying better players at higher fees/wages given the income coming in.

    73, Jerel.

But I was very unhappy with the 1000+ dickhead who thought that singing the Munich song was a fun idea at halftime

Good on you Elmo. Glad you're backing up your words on here with action, because if you weren't, your entire argument would be undermined.

I was taking a breather in the stands at HT, and wasn't part of the aforementioned antics. I hear the coppers were getting fairly heavy-handed. Or heavy-batoned, at least?

What a weird thing to write, claiming I think we will win the champions League in 2015.

As for your latter statement we can all hope bates is gone but I am not sure we will be getting a sugar daddy
