Football has diminished in my lifetime from being a team game to selfishness, at one time they claimed they were slaves to a system that could see them out of a job etc.

Its turned midnight over here and too many sherberts to produce a cogent argument, but google George Eastham, the obolition of the maximum English footballers wage, the birth of the Premier Leauge and Bosman and that combination led to clubs losing their way in the hunt for success. Why develop it when you can buy it?

My father could not be bothered with football in about the 60s as it was all about finance he said. I thought he was daft but I guess I have reached his way of thinking now. Team GB millionaires were a joke.

Haven't read the article but id say the vast majority of footballers are good people alot nice family men. Yes there are the John Terry's but I reckon for every Terry there's 10 Kevin Phillips

Money corrupts totally, Beckham is a prime example (ambassador my arse) ****s off to America where you can live in gated communities with an untroubled concience as you never cross paths with the poor.

These younguns have been shielded from the real world since they were kids with parasitic agents wiping their spoilt asses...........

Well done. I wanted to write something along these lines but couldn't do it eloquently.

These sports giants are dedicated, ambitious and positive.

Very polite, appreciate the support offered. Smiley - NORMAL!
