Even the charlton play off final was a irelevent kick about compared to what happened in the Olympics today. Football should take great notice of what occurred in London today. We have the best athletes, rowers, cyclists in the world and they have something those overpaid arrogant tossers will never have - class.

Even the commentators on the football come across as massive w*nkers. How football has suffered tonite. Maybe we will realise that we have the talent availiable and shopping for foreigners is a waste of time and money. The kids are here that can win a world cup as long as you don't get Stuart Pearce to manage them. Football is this country needs immediate reappraisal as it is fast disappearing up its own backside.

How right we were to host the Olympics and all those that were against it, I just hope you have learned what sport really is all about.

Without exception ever single GB medal winner in an tv interview that i have seen has come across completely humble, articulate and honest and has followed a noticeable theme by thanking the crowd, the coaches, their parents/teamates usually in that order. Even Andy Murray has shown himself to be well mannered and humble. What is it about the Olympics that really brings out the best of our nation?

Can you imagine Wayne Rooney thanking his parents for all their efforts or god forbid thanking the crowd for their support?

I hope someone at the fa sits up and takes stock. Instead of concentrating on kangaroo courts and constant overpayment and endorsement of failures, that we have sportsman and woman that know how to win and compete with commitment, dedication and class.

Looking forward to seeing how Ainslie goes for gold today

I haven't seen any of it apart from the hockey games I was at, but it sounds like GB is doing quite well, it's ironic that it's all because of the billions of pounds sport has got from fat people buying lottery tickets!

Medal winners! I did say. Non medal winning cyclist and cyclists on the streets are of course sanctimonious dicks. I don't mind holier than thou, I just can't stand ungracious bad losers, ie men's road racers, footballers and Americans.

Best interview so far was that one with the two scullers that only managed silver. I would lock the medicine cabinet and hide the knives such was their level of disappointment.

I wish the girls would stop crying though. Starts me off

"Well hard", I'd say IA - he was right hacked off after his two opponents shopped him to the umpire and there was no way he was going to take it lying down - that said, it was a tremendous performance to pull back the deficit. What a sailor. And a Silver as well in the pairs - good day on the water.

I was not expecting to watch or enjoy the Olympics as much as I have, so did not get any tickets but on Friday changed my mind. Managed to grab one for the Cycling to see the ladies break the WR twice and get Gold. What a great day out!
