A cracking race sees Australia and Canada swapping the lead throughout, but it's Canada who take the bronze in a time of three minutes 17.915 - a tenth ahead of the Australians

Dani King, Laura Trott and Jo Roswell win gold in the women's team pursuit, easily beating USA in a new world record of three minutes 14.051 seconds. That's the sixth consecutive world record

China's Chen Ding strolls away from the field to take gold in the men's 20km walk. Eric Barrondo of Guatemala came second and Wang Zhen of China took third. 2008 Olympic champion Valeriy Borchin collapsed just minutes away from the line and had to receive medical treatment

Settling down to a night in front of the athletics.

Curry ordered, beers in the fridge, and Jessica Ennis performing for my amusement.

    Bliss.

It's double gold for Netherlands Ranomi Kromowidjojo in the pool as she takes the 50m title to go with her 100m gong earlier in the week. Fran Halsall is fifth
