Full time result: Canada 2-0 Great Britain Huge shame, I always thought the women would do rather well. Let's hope the men can make us proud for tomorrow. So the semi-final will be: Japan v France USA v Canada
Andy Murray & Laura Robson are 1st on centre court tomorrow at 12pm v Australian pair Lleyton Hewitt & Sam Stosur in the mixed doubles QF. If Murray/Robson win, their semi-final will be against Germany's Christopher Kas and Sabine Lisicki in the last match on centre court
Can anyone give me a little refresher of what happened last night? I was out on the pop and missed the majority, managed to see the men's cycling pursuit though, which was incredible. Think Pendleton got the gold? Adlington got bronze? Noticed the women's football team were 2-0 down when I was in Linnet. I feel incredibly rough this morning, and trying to ease myself back into normality with the Triathlon. Anyone who can fill in the gaps, it would be much appreciated.
That about covers it party. Jesse is leading the heptathlon but day 2 is not her strongest events so will be tough. Oh and whats-her-name got destroyed by kenyans and Ethiopians in the 10k
She had a pretty good go at the long jump and I think she will do just enough in the 800m to secure the win. Here's hoping.
The rowing has been brilliant this morning. Two golds and a silver. The lads who got the silver were totally broken at the end, physically and mentally. We are seriously good in the boats.
A little too upset for my liking. Shame for them though, defending champions and leading for almost the entire race. That Czech woman in the singles was bonkers, so far in front that the cameras switched to watching the race for silver.
Yeah know what you mean, gutted to lose but still an immense achievement. The two girls who won, in contrast, just seemed unable to comprehend. Brilliant.
If Yorkshire were a country, we'd currently be 12th in the medal table, ahead of Australian and South Africa.
Li Xuerui beats Wang Yihan 21-17 in the final set to win gold for China in the women's badminton singles final
Italy's Jessica Rossi wins women's trap gold ahead of Zuzana Stefecekova of Slovakia and Delphine Reau of France and also sets a new world record score of 99 beating the previous record of 96. She just missed one of her 100 shots
Frenchmen Julien Benneteau and Richard Gasquet win the men's doubles bronze medal with a 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 victory over David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez of Spain
Rosannagh Maclennan of Canada takes gold in the trampolining final from Chinese pair Huang Shanshan and He Wenna
I would estimate that I am able to decipher around 70% of the things Mark Cavendish says. The other 30%? Anyone's guess.
Great Britain qualify for the women's team pursuit final to face USA in a world record time of three minutes 14.682 seconds
