Morning everyone The rumours about Craig Mackail-Smith donât appear to be going away much to my dissatisfaction. Do we really want him? I canât understand why especially with the timing of it with Colin saying how he plans on holding talks with Ross and offering him a new contract in the coming days. So that kinda implies we are looking to keep Ross as well as signing CMS which would be pointless and if we do sell Ross, I think we should be aiming higher so that we get someone who adequately replaces him. I really would like to hear from someone who is pro Mackail-Smith According to Logi (I havenât seen his source) we are set to sign Peltier today for a fee thought to be worth 750k. It would be a welcome sign to be honest. We are starting to become a bit desperate for a right back, although I do think there are better out there for that sort of money he can certainly do a job in the championship and our defence will probably be complete or at least the first choice will. Has there been any new news on Crainie. I heard we had offered him a contract a few days ago. Is it likely he will sign? I think this would be a good bit of business. Maybe the fact that Colin said publicly that heâd call Crainie a âsquad playerâ. This may have put him off signing somewhat but he is still with the club as far as Iâm aware Song of the day: Lets go with Underdog by Kasabian Babe of the day: Lara Bingle (couldn't show nips at work) please log in to view this image
Morning - Brighton have an injured striker (mentioned on Sky News Sport) - Unless they receive a player in part ex I cannot see CMS going anywhere. We certainly wouldn't sign him without raising the funds which we can't do without a T/O or sacrificing McCormack so I guess NW has around £800k burning a hole in his pocket so the Peltier signing might be around the corner? I wouldn't complain, I don't like seeing lees at RB unless it is an emergency. Peltier - Crainie - Pearce - Drury All things considered that is what I wouldn't mind seeing start the season with Lees on the bench
She's deffo worth spraying with seed Warnock expecting new faces before the Preston game, so peltier could be the man today, but I have a feeling a surprise or 2 could be happening.
Peltier is a bit of a wild one tbh, more solid than Connolly but still a bit dodgy positional sense can be a bit out. I sense this season being a lot more boring but a lot more solid with a lot less goals conceded and also less scored.
