i get the feeling he is one injury from not playing football again. its a shame he had a great start to season last year. lets hope we now get a new target man with that centre back we are getting in

Maybe he didn't feature in MH's season plans, as we could be playing more defensively away, with only, say, Cisse, upfront.
Then again, I'm very sad to see him go, he really epitomized the grit and hard work of QPR. The iceman.

Uber - his goal at Palace elicited the comment "that's what Champions are made of" from the BBC -- How right he was!

Yeah, I remember. A great moment. It was like he climbed onto a stool and stayed up there until the ball came across.

It was hilarious, especially after the Palace fans were giving it large just a minute earlier and watching their team go mental claiming it was a foul on the goalie when he never even touched him.

Thats the difference between HH and Bothroyd, Bothroyd wouldnt have bothered going for the header in case he got hurt.

    Agree with all of this.

The idea that we effectively swapped HH with Bothroyd (and got rid of our top scorer in the process) leaves me cold to be honest.

The very best of luck Heidar. Shame he couldn't have chosen a better team though...

I was singing in the rain after that Palace goal...

A Great Ranger...Can not believe he has gone ahead of Bollockroyd Hulse and Cambell.....

I think the 20 mins would have been perfect for him, I dont think his 35yo body will stand up to a 46 game NPC season.

Sad to see him go but with Bothroyd being left out of the Germany squad this proves we are definitely after another striker! Bring on Defore or Berbotov!

Good luck Heidar! Thanks for all the Goals! I don't really understand him going either, unless we are bringing in a new younger replacement for his role.

There was talk on the offish that we are going to play more passing football, even so it doesnt make sense to only have 1 forward who can win headers.
