Wow, there's a proper match coming up... Saturday 11th August (KO 3pm) Ticket just went on sale, priced at £12 Adults, £6 Concessions and £1 Under 10s.
I think they go on sale tomorrow. Season cards access system not in operation at the game. Card holders can claim their seats by 5pm on 7 August
Is that because they haven't sent any out yet and they're worried about getting them all done and received within a week?
It is the 11th(I've amended it). The worrying thing, is that I didn't type that, I copy/pasted it from the clubs Facebook site. Edit: It's wrong on the OWS too.. http://www.hullcityafc.net//news/article/rotherham-ticket-information-289162.aspx?
Well I've not received mine yet. I can't imagine the ticket office staff want to spend 5 minutes with everybody trying to buy a ticket telling them they're adding it onto the cards and then explaining that it'll be alright and they will have their cards in time for the game. By the time they've dealt with the whole crowd for that game they'll have wasted about 3 hours between them.
The Rotherham game will at least give Steve Bruce the chance to start with his strongest available team with a full week before the Brighton game. Get it won and the squad players can have the next COC game Rd.2 w/c 27th August.
I think they start sending them out tomorrow, but not to contact them if you dont have yours by next Friday. Thought i read it somewhere.
Not as far as I'm aware. Doesn't bother me as the Brighton game is going to be my first so it's two weeks away, so long as I receive it by the Thursday post that week I'm good. It just seems a bit amateur to not be able to add the season opening cup tie to it when one of the things that was going to be good about the system was the fact they could add these kind of games. Also, is it just me because I don't like the Cups if we're in a season I want us to be going for promotion, or does anyone else feel they've cocked up by having the 1st Round of the League Cup before the league season starts? It just makes it feel like one of those mickey mouse friendly trophies they play in preseason, like the Emirates Cup rather than an actual competitive game.
I like the build up that's added by starting with a cup game and I reckon it would actually have more interest in it this way than if it started 2 or 3 games in. I understand concerns about injuries but it can be used to help with some competitive game time before the season starts. Also many people would argue it feels like a mickey mouse cup no matter what time the first round kicks off.
Just want us to get started. Just can't get into pre-season matches. Expect my season cards in the next few days, so not yet worried.
How come you guys are playing the cup game on a Saturday? We've got a mid-week trip to Torquay before the league game!
