Not sure how to make them bigger, but if you click on them you'll get a better view. I thought this was a funny shot of the Tote prices:
I forgot to mention, Goodwood well and truly jumped on the Frankel bandwagon: instead of the usual yellow and red racecards that you get at Glorious Goodwood, today's was pale green with a pink sash
How does Frankel look in the flesh PNkt? Does he carry himself in any standout way or look special walking around the parade ring?
He's certainly not the tallest horse (just over 16hh), but he does have presence by the bucketload. He has a huge shoulder and powerful hindquarters. I would stop short of saying he is a very handsome horse, he's good looking but I'd say Yeats and Sea the Stars were better looking. He walks round the paddock like he owns the place, and I guess he does!
Many thanks Princess. Amazing to see just how undulating the track is turning into the home straight - you don't notice that on TV at all.
Oddy, thats why I never thought the Black Caviar team would even entertain the idea of a clash in the Sussex. She would have never encountered an undulating track quite like that.
Thanks for posting the photos PN. Sadly was only able to watch the race on the Racing UK website. In the afternoon I'm holed up at the ParkLane Hilton with the IOC and for some reason they only watch the Olympics! The good news is that when I rocked up for my first shift TeamGB finally struck gold
I will make you all a deal. If he is retired to stud at the end of the year (odds on I would have thought), I will do my very best to arrange a 606 outing to Banstead Manor Stud at some point next year to go and see him. I can't make any promises, but I will do my best. Perhaps take in some of the other studs too.
