Also, anyone else looking forward to the 200m mens breast stroke tomorrow? Two British athletes, qualified first and third fastest, broke the British record 3 times today (the one that stood before today) and the English record twice. Hopefully tomorrow can be the start of our gold medals, Wiggins in the time trial then one of these guys.

Been saying that everyday, wasn't it going to be Cavendish, then the girl in the woman road race, then Adlington and so on.

Road races are tricky to 100% rely on. You can depend on a certain strategy to get it for you (a la Cav) but if that doesn't go to plan you have no hope. And because it's such a long way, so much can go wrong. As for Adlington, she was never favourite based on recent form, and even the one in Beijing was a surprise in that particular length.

Wiggins though is in an individual event, where it's entirely down to himself, and nobody around him. He's proven absolute dominance in time trials in the tour, and not to mention Froome also being involved. The two swimmers also have hope, though I'm basing that mostly on their incredible qualifying times and how much they seem to thrive on home support.

is it me or do GB swimmers only swim in the outside lanes
I have watched a lot of heats and finals but I've never seen a GB swimmer in the middle lanes

Probably because there is always better swimmers than whoever is representing Team GB.

In the finals or semis the fastest qualifying swimmers get put in the middle lanes, with the 2 slowest on the two outside lanes. That explains it <laugh>

Took me about a minute to get in the last two times I've been. Max time at turnstiles was less than the queues you get at a regular matchday and the security search stuff was pretty quick. I just suggest not taking a bag, and be sure to empty your pockets into one of the little plastic bags they have.

Queues for the tickets were terrible, getting into the ground was no problem at all. Might be a bit busier today but don't see any major problems.

The more I see and hear Bradley Wiggins the more I like the lad. Very down to earth.
