5 mins into Hazel Irvines anchor and she has made reference to Hanna Miley being Scottish.... twice! She does this all the time in any sport she comments on and its sooooooooooooo annoying Its a Great British team Hazel, read your notes!
I was expecting the worse for the opening ceremony and then I was blown away, Danny Boyle you ••••••• legend! Love his films anyway but that will never be bettered. As for Hazel, she'd clearly insecure about her country, look I'll support anyone who's representing blighty, we want medals and lots of please
I was expecting some sort of massive cock-up, which would have been wonderfully British, but thought it was brilliant. Shame that the only minor cock-up was at the beginning of Hey Jude.

Found out why Strov hasn't posted on our board today.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-19059127 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19054995 Any idea what this guy tweeted? sounds quite bad
I think he said 'South Koreans are mentally retarted' or something. Just managed to catch the end of the equestrian as well - another silver for GB
Well done GB Rowers and Cyclists - Excellent. More to come from them no doubt. The moany bit: I went to Old Trafford to watch GB V Senegal and was at the entrance where the players entered the stadium. Did they they bother to come over and talk to the fans on the way in or sign a few programs?. Did they b&llocks! They are far too important for that! Footballers can learn alot from the other GB athletes if they could just take their heads out of their holes for just one minute! And what the hell are the Welsh players thinking of by not singing the BRITSH anthem. What a bloody disgrace!
Well I worked at the Nottinghamshire reception for the Notts Olympic athletes four years ago, and I thought Addlington and Brabants were very arrogant. Some of those that hadn't won medals were nice and sociable though. I guess when you get to a certain plateau you start to change. A lot of it is down to public demand, and no-one is more in demand that footballers.
Agree with your first point - great for us to finally get some golds on the board. However, the anthem is almost universally recognised as the English anthem and the furore itd cause among the Welsh FA; you'll rarely find non-English GB athletes singing it. Chris Hoy never sang it in Beijing.
GB rule, the Aussies are crying, I'm really enjoying these Olympics and I'm off to watch the athletics on Monday
