Didn't say it wasn't better, said it was too much overhaul in one go if you ask me. Historically teams have struggled when they have overhauled too much, too fast. Took Man City a little while to see it pay off. Plenty of teams have thrown money about with limited success. I'm saying too many incoming players at once may take time to gel.......!
I think QPR will get relegated, an either their owners will leave them or they will spend a ton of money.
QPR, SWANSEA AND WEST BROM QPR might have spent a lot but on Green, Johnson, Fabio and a couple of others. These players are only bottom end premier league players at best anyway, so can't really see them improving all that much.
Good thing we got Park, Diakite, Nelsen and Hoilett in too then. I wouldn't say we've spent "a lot" either.
I don't think it's that wild a claim. Hoilett would get in over Gervinho or Walcott for me. Park is a very solid player in the middle or wide and would do a better job than Ramsey or even Song, who's phenomenally overrated in my opinion- decent player but lacks bottle and fight. Diakite I'd have over Song, Ramsey or Rosicky. I'm not saying any of them are world-class but they're good Premier League players that wouldn't look out of place in any team in this league other than United, City and Chelsea.
I'm not saying they're not good, just don't think they are top 5 players. Don't know much about diakite, saw him get sent off and that was about it, so I can't really judge him. I think Walcott is better than Hoilett though.
I go as far as to say that I would review my choices, and whilst Swansea have quality players Rogers' tactics and the way he had them playing will be a huge loss to them. I like Swansea, I'm always impressed with young managers that play a certain way for the PL and keep a team up whilst keeping the integrity of the club (unlike, say Phil Brown at Hull City). I hope they stay up, I'm yet to be convinced.
Agree with BazSpurs86 about wanting Swansea to stay up, I really like the type of football they stand for (which preceded Rogers) but think they could well struggle. Would much rather see some other teams go down.
Why are people saying we've spent alot again? Green - Free Johnson - Free Nelsen - Free Diakite - £3,500,000 Fabio - Loan Park - £2,000,000 Hoilett - Free (Estimated £4,000,000 compensation to be paid) £5.5mil plus the Hoilett compensation. Under £10mil for these 7 players, good deal IMO.
Plus £20m signing on fees and £100 bn in wages and a lot of agent fees... Ok, slight exaggeration but you get my drift. You would have to pay Park a lot of money to play at Loftus Road when the crowd is so derisory (stadium is too small).
In your midfield of lightweight bottlejobs I think they'd have a good chance though they probably make a few too many tackles for Wenger's liking.
It tickles me that arguably the most inane and pointless poster on the forum (given your posts seem to solely consist of arse-licking others) feels the need to constantly call me boring.
After seeing few posts of this genius im beginning to doubt about his love towards our beloved club........
Where did your big strong midfielders get you? 17th. I thought so. Meanwhile our little skinny midfielders got us 3rd and CL footy yet again. So how about you **** off and look at the facts.
