    i ain't got no stats but with any twisting undulating track when its a big field and your drawn middle to outer you need to break well and get a decent early position otherwise your always up against it and the best option then is to sit suffer and hope for a gap up the rail as start right managed

    Hoping ENCKE follows the promising godolphin runs in the opener. Ought to relish the trip and I hope Barzalona plays catch me if you can. Looks like a step up in trip will suit and he might have enough pace to steal a couple of lengths.

    micky has only had 4 runs more improvement to come and will improve for the step up in trip but the german horse is the danger won over the trip already so will surely try to stretch them and kick early with the artist coming late to collar him close home

    You arent the only one to flag up michelangelo before it had raced famous! Told my mate and wrote on twitter that it would win the st leger when i saw it entered on its debut as it had to be a good horse after being given a name like that! <laugh>

    Well doen George and Fammy in the opener.

    STH,I agree about the ground at Glorious Galway.I had planned to back Daffern Seal in the Plate but he needs decent ground and that looks unlikely.

    Off to study a bit of form.
