I think we can expect a few more signings to come in - Dempsey and Allen see most likely at the moment but I can then see more joining ....
Yeah as said, looks like Dempsey will come in, wouldnt have him down as a genuine striker but can operate in and around and would obviously add a welcome alternative to Suarez rather than a big man like Carroll. Borini fits into that mould but it would be necessary to bring in another who can play as an out and out striker, preferably that could operate out wide also. Demba Ba would be a good addition although he will absent for the ACON, which we can really do with avoiding that potential minefield. Craig Bellamy fits into that mould obviously before anyone says anything but I think we need an out and out striker who is relatively physical and can operate upfront by himself & offer some kind of fret running from deep, a kind of cross between Bellamy & Carroll if you like. Demba fits into that frame perfectly & Bellers with his Injury concerns can vie with Downing for the left forward spot as well as providing depth upfront for any potential loss of striker i.e ACON: - Suarez - Borini - Dempsey ? - Ba ? I must say i´d be very happy with that forward line next season, who knows Ba could potentially be made a make-weight in any potential Newcastle interest in Carroll.
I think Demba Ba would be a great signing. Power, pace, intelligence and can score goals. Only negatives are that he will be absent during ACON and there are doubts about his knees (I think). But for £7m - you can't go wrong ...
Carroll will stay. Replace Ecclestonn with Morgan. If its: Suarez Carroll Dempsey Borini Bellamy Morgan Then I think thats pretty good.
Suarez Carroll Dempsey Borini Bellamy Morgan And Ecclestone as a last resort Plus Downing, Cole, Pacheco, Sterling and Gerrard can all play in the wide berths too. We are not short on players for the front positions. However, the quality of said players is a little more questionable IMO
