    I know a father dieing isn't an easy thing to deal with, and i can't really offer an experienced opinion on this matter, but i'm pretty sure your wife being critically injured and suffering from internal bleeding would stress you out more than an old father passing away. Atleast you know your father would be at peace where as your wife is in pain. And besides, his wife must only be in her early 20's, that's alot more shocking than an older man dieing.

    I know i may sound very unsensitive here, but that's what i think.

    Doesn't sound unsensitive at all. Especially since Loven's father had a severe illness for a while, so it was probably better for him to pass away. Whereas it looked like Irelands wife had got through the worst of it.
