We may not have spent that much but If you think about it we may well end up with a completely transformed midfield and front three..obviously not all the time but some times. Recently we have been strongly linked with Sahin and More so cazorla. (for now) hypothetically speaking should we buy two more midfielders we can have an attack as follows Cazorla Sahin diaby Walcott Giroud podolski Obviously Walcott is the one constant but even he may not sign a new contract though I'm confident he will. This attack is unlikely to materialise but it shows that we have many new faces (wenger confirmed recently we are in for two new signings even if it's not the ones ive mentioned). Whilst it may rightfully excite us we may face the same problem man city faced in the infancy of its multi billion dollar revolution and it may set us back in the short run. I believe this is part of the reason wenger has stated he will ease the new signings into the prem perhaps avoiding the probability of them playing simultaneoulsy at least to begin with. Having said that with our infamous injury problems such a situation may well arise wherein we may be forced to play a mesh of players unfamiliar not only with how we play but critically each others game and style which is imperative when considering the style we play involving intricate passes and walking (though recently its been fumbling!) the ball into the net. However I do feel overall the quality of the SQUAD will have improved its just a question of whether we can tackle the inevitable teething problems accompanying new signings.
That MF would be too weak and i dont think many of them would think of tracking back to help the defence. Lets face it unless Wenger signs M'Vila we only have Song who can tackle and help out the defence (when hes not charging up front playing through balls to no1). My team minus the defence would be. ------Song - Arteta-- Carzola - Sahin - Walcott ---------Giroud If Jack ever returns he could take Arteta place and you could put Podolski on the Left Wing or Up front in place of Giroud. Obviously we havnt signed Carzola or Sahin but im just going with the rumours.
Sahin is more of a dm in the M'vila mould can't see us getting both http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...x4HwBg&usg=AFQjCNEz0PjEVENe6iewuLge-HTTZK5_-g Or rather the xabi alonso mould
I thought Sahin was more of a Deep Lying playmaker that can tackle. If thats the case just pop Sahin in Arteta place push Carzola into the Middle and either play Gervinho/Podolski/Oxlade out wide. Its amazing that the potential signing of a couple of really good MF make our team look completely different and opens up the doors for a more flexable team.
like i edited.....yeah he resembles arteta if anyone. All madrid fans reckon hes like their next xabi alonso or rather they hoped...hopefully hoped!
