As a perpetual sourpuss, no thanks, that will be another sticky, that takes up more room on every page. Why does the poster not twitter for himself?
but wouldn't a sticker (even if it takes up an extra line on front page) eliviate the problem of a load of people copying and pasting other peoples twitters as seperate articles?
But... we have a Sunderland Transfer Tavern sticky which is for Transfer rumours like you would discuss in a pub on a night out. That to me is twitter all over. So stick them in the Transfer Tavern that is already a sticky. PS:I dont mind stickies, unlike some on here, I just dont think twitter stuff deserves a sticky for its own. PPS: We have the Sunderland Transfer Tavern but we still get 10-20 new threads a day on Fletcher etc so even when there is a sticky, no one bothers to post in it in any case.
When the season starts, Argus will have a season long prediction sticky, which he removes after the season ends. Which is bang on,I dont want to have to trawl past the stickys, which are on every page. If they were on the opening page only, fair enough. but they are not. so you end up with less content, and stickys that hinder the site IMO.
I can't see the point of having a Twitter sticky. In fact I wouldn't be too worried if we never saw any reports from Twitter at all. As we have seen most of the tweets are without foundation and if someone says we are after a player then don't get him we have all the 'another target lost' messages when we probably weren't after that guy in the first place.
I agree twitter is a nightmare at time but a lot of our up to date information comes for twitter. My point on twitter was simply to stop us having 30 threads of twitter gossip when we could have one. If you feel glorified for writing thread about twitter news the I'll go with the flow it just seems there are sometimes thread after thread from twitter when there could be one.
