Comrades and fellow not606ers, I greet you all in the name of peace, democracy and freedom for all. I stand here before you not as a prophet but as a humble servant of you, the ordinary football fan. Your tireless and heroic sacrifices have made it possible for me to be here today. I therefore place my fate in your hands. On this day of my release, I extend my sincere and warmest gratitude to the dozens of supporters and those in every corner of the site who have campaigned tirelessly for my release. I extend special greetings to the Swords Appreciation Society, the group which has been my refuge in times of hardship. Your mass postings and other forms of struggle have served as a constant source of strength not just to me but to all not606 prisoners. Friends, during those dark days in exile, there were times I felt like giving up. The suffering became almost unbearable as I stood on the precipice staring into the abyss. One dark and lonely night having polished off a bottle of cheap Bourbon and despairing at what the movement had become, I noticed a Spider climbing up the wall. As it neared the top, it slipped on the damp stone and fell to the bottom. It tried again and the same thing happened. I watched this small creature repeat the attempt 15, maybe 20 times until eventually it prevailed and made it to its destination........nay, destiny. It was at that precise moment that I felt the fire within burn once more and I knew I couldn't give up just yet. Fellow freedom fighters, although the uprising was crushed I believe we have rattled the establishment. No more will we be beaten down and trod upon and made to feel like second class citizens. We have parked our Tanks on the front lawn of the administration and for evermore our voices will be heard. With that in mind and being firmly convinced that free-speech on not606 has been secured, I call on all of you now to make peace with the Super Mod. I also look forward to the day we can resume normal relations with the Norwich City Board but for the moment their status remains that of a belligerent neighbour. I now call to a close this period of hostility and anticipate a peaceful and prosperous Forum for the upcoming season - for posters and Moderators alike. Before I sign off, I have a couple of acknowledgements to make. I salute the following Comrades: Oddball for your stubborn stance against monotony on this blog. Norway for your constant source of inspiration in my hour of need. Queens for your undying loyalty to the cause. Matt for your charm and wit that kept me entertained during the long dark nights of exile. And many many more too numerous to mention. Thank you my friends. Peace and justice to all. Swords
Good to have you back mate. Nice comeback, balanced but still 'stingy' Now, how's your take on the last week's events? Happy with Hoilett?
I go on holiday for a couple of of weeks and I don't even get a mention. Cast aside like an oily rag. Cheers Swords, you can fight your own online battles with your special friends in future, all the best buddy! ( I'll be home in two days, looking forward to catching up on all the gossip. )
Nines, you are my right hand man. You don't even need a mention! Hope you're enjoying your break mate.
Cheer up mate, maybe not a mention but I've been thinking about when you would be back from holiday. As I knew you were away voluntarily I didn't see the need for a search and rescue
Back in two days lads. I tried to stay off of here for two weeks, I managed twelve days. I broke away from the the all- inclusive bar for an hour to check-in.
