Honest question...how many on here would want Carroll. Would show intent in the transfer market, but would suggest a complete change in our style. I suppose it would stop someone else having him, but he's not a Saints player for me.
Actually, by all accounts, Kevin Nolan is a very good influence on Andy Carroll. I think at one stage they lived together so Carroll wouldn't have to go to prison?
I am wondering the same thing. I thought WHU were in considerable debt. If they go down again, then I can see another Pompey scenario.

Pretty identical player to Rickie really. Unlike Rickie (so far) he is proven in the Premier League, when playing in a direct playing style that is.
Is he proven? More than Rickie but can you really call him a proven Premier League player when the vast majority of his Premier League appearances have been appalling?
Yeah he proved himself playing for Newcastle when they played a direct style. 11 goals in 19 apps. Thats why he struggled at Liverpool cause they dont.
Well he only didnt score more because he transferred to a passing team. Otherwise he would have easily got 20, maybe 25, and id call that proven yes.
I reckon hed score more goals at West Ham than Liverpool because hoofball suits him perfectly. Would score even more at Newcastle though
How is he different in your eyes? They are both target men who can hold the ball up, score goals on their head, and make selfless plays for other people. Rickie is a better penalty taker and possibly a more clinical finisher, and doesnt have a gay ponytail , but apart from that they are pretty similar players.
If you dont believe he would have smashed in at very least 20 goals if he stayed at Newcastle you clearly didnt follow that season.
I read somewhere earlier there is a 6ft 10" GK playing in the Belgian league, I wonder if Fat Sam fancies a gamble on him, 'the West Ham way'?!
