There is no pay-on-the-gate as such for tomorrow’s friendly game at Donny. Tickets can be purchased in advanced or bought on the night from the ‘soccer centre reception’. Please can someone tell me where the ‘soccer centre reception’ is located, as I have not been to the Keepmoat before.
i was thinking of going tomorrow, but im put off by this potential kerfuffle and the possibilty of having to see craig ***ans face...
Ha! yeah, cheers Lambo. Will be cutting it fine what with 7.30 kick off and travelling from Scarborough, so wanted a rough idea, but apparantly it is next to away turnstiles anyhow.
To hell with this bollox. I am out of town tuesday and was going to call in on the way home. I shall spend this money at North Ferriby v. Grimsby Town on wednesday instead. Far worthier a cause and the pies are better. Keepmoat ? , you can KeepIt.
It is a 7.30 kick off. I've said I'll take junior, but I'm not sure I can be arsed with the fannying about for tickets and watching us play three different teams in one meaningless game. Rochdale reminded me that I don't really like pre-seasons, I normally go to almost all of them and I normally wish I hadn't bothered. I should know better by now. But I don't, so I'll probably be there anyway.
Doesn't playing players for a short time defeat the point of pre-season friendlies? I would have thought you'd need to play for 90 minutes if you were ambling around before you could be considered fit enough to play 90 minutes in a competitive match. Even John Barnes managed five minutes in a friendly before being substituted.
The 'sports centre' is next to the club shop. Basically turn right as you approach the Keepmoat if you're coming from the main road that runs parallel to the south stand. Me and my mate picked up tickets from there for our League Cup game last season. Make the most of it, you might not play Donny again for another couple of decades.
