last season, we signed one of the hottest goal scorers in non league Troy Hewitt. With all the new signings we have made under MH, this could be an interesting for Troy. He could either learn from professionals that have been there done it and seen it or get pead off and want to leave. I think if I was in his position, (and I do not know length of contract he was given), I would like to think I would stay and learn and then look to go out on loan. With possibly DJC, Hulse, Betty (?) leaving and AJ (although just signed 32 and on a 2 year deal) a young player could look at this quite positively.. Just wondered what your views would be.
Sure there was a post somewhere on here suggesting he hasn't set the world alight in any of his lower league loan spells.
It appears he is too far down the pecking order and although I have no idea of his ability he obviously has made no impact otherwise we would have heard something positive, so i think he will be let go.
I sometimes wonder what it does for a career to make a mighty leap up in class, yet never get a game. I think that he would have been better served to have gone to a Div1 or 2 side were he would have had the opportuity to grow and retain his confidence. Whilst he may learn from the more experienced strikers he will probably only get a game if there is an injury crisis. He needs proper games. He needs to decide whether he still wants to try for career in the top echelons, in which case he needs to drop down (both leagues and money). He is young enough to hang around, take the money and then try again.
Is he still with us? I can't remember seeing him on the Asia tour, and he hasn't featured in any of the second string games recently either as far as I can recall. His not on the offish and he doesn't even figure in our release list: Peter Ramage (released), Danny Gabbidon (released), Danny ****tu (released), Fitz Hall (released), Gary Borrowdale (released), Lee Cook (released), Rowan Vine (released), Patrick Agyemang (released), Akos Buzsaky (released). Where is he?
He was just a substitute for the reserves against Aldershot the other day, Further down the selection order than Hulse
this was the team against Aldershot Lennox Simmonds Sharif Sutherland Parmenter Triallist Smith Hitchcock Hulse Campbell Andrade Subs: Hewitt Tranni Downs Francis Cararera
Sub in a random Rs XI whose names are mostly unfamiliar to us addicts... sounds like he's not going to get much further with us doesn't it? Needs to move on then imo.
he was sent out on loan last season and didnt even get in dag and red team who were strugglig at the foot of league 2. he will most probably be sent out on loan somewhere but wont make it in league football.
