http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gspNipLZCpU&feature=player_embedded Didnt work sorry. Gits have blocked it!
Have heard from someone within the game that knew Bale at Saints and knows of him now and the word "knob" was frequently used in the conversation as a description for the Welshman.
Not seen the tackle but I'm surprised bale didn't dive out the way of it! Obviously no one wants to see bad tackles in the game but for a player who dives soo often is wrong to accuse someone of a dirty challenge! No doubt we will come up against bale rolling around in agony with no contact at all! Loved him at saints but not anymore!
Watched the 'tackle' on ESPN. It might have been accidental, but i doubt it. And in friendly too, there is no excuse for what Adam did.
I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt there. Its a foul, but I wouldn't book him for it. Perhaps Bale is a bit oversensitive because he's suffered bad injuries before and has been on the end of 'targeting' (I remember a playoff game against Derby when their main tactic was to kick him).
Going to have to disagree - that was not clumsey - Adam planted his boot nowhere near where the ball was - he went for the player. Seeing it was a friendly; it's not acceptable to foul someone like that. As for Bale being 'injured' and unable to play for GB - maybe it was 'fate' that he is now injured... I have to add that I do not have alot of sympathy for him.
So we are now agreed. Walcott can't come back because he's too expensive and Bale can't because he is just not Saintly. How disappointed they must be
