I'm sure everyone is aware he managed to get injured again last night. What I'm wondering is he worth keeping or should we try and flog him off in your opinions.

Personally I backed Dan to be a very decent PL footballer in years to come but I'm starting to think he's going to become another sick-note player and spend more time in the physio's room than actually playing for the club.

When he's fit he is a good option but its just not enough of the time but he does have youth on his side (22-24 i believe).

So would you keep him and hope he can overcome his injury woes (like we are all hoping with Saylor) or would you take £3-5million for him and sell to someone like Fulham or Villa who have been linked with him over the summer?

I wouldn't be too upset to se him go tbh. Injury prone and even when fit I've not been that impressed by him. Think we already have better options (even for the bench) and if we did offload him for around £3m, I tink we could get a better replacement for that money. I've nothing against the lad. Just don't think he's quite there compared with rest of the squad.

To me he's looked fairly good in pre season so far, better than we saw of him last year. I'd give him this year, play him when we can, and see how he does. If he's improved, keep him, if he's the same as last year, flog him next summer.

Maybe. I originally thought he only had 1 year left, so best to sell him now. But just checked NUFC.COM where is states he has 2 years left. So perhaps keep him as cover this year and see how he goes. But I wouldn't want him getting in the way of others who could develop into better players.

I think Gosling has a good game in him, whether it's good enough to get him a game is hard to tell at the moment. We'll have to see who else comes in and if he's going to be surplus to requirements.

He'd do a good job for one of the smaller clubs or even a Championship side though.

With Bigi and Amalfitano coming in this summer, I put him 4th on the BACKUP list (Abeid, Bigi, Amalfitano). I think we can get a couple of million for him so should be looking to offload.

Typical, the first game when he's truly impressed me and he gets injured.

That run he made that lead to the goal was really good.

A nice little burst of pace, decent ball across the ground.

    What a ****ing shame.

He has looked his best this pre-season by far for the club. I think he'll be a late sub or starter if Cab's or Tiote is out this season, and this could be his season to really progress but he needs to make an impact and stay fit

How long's he injured for like? I thought it was just a precaution. He's had a very good pre-season actually which gives him some hope - a lot of people had him down as a failure already which isn't really fair, after all the lad has only had one or two full Prem games under his belt. Still plenty of time for him to come good.

I think he's a worse version of Dyer to be frank. Dyer had class, and could have been a regular in the England setup for a long time had he not been injury prone, Gosling is a similar case, except he's a potential talent.

I'm still gutted Guthrie left as i think he could have played more games now we are in europe. However the lad didn't want to be a squad player and i think he's twice the player of Gosling. I think we should cut the cord on him. He's rarely going to get games being injured. If your not available for selection your not worth keeping on. Especially with the 23 man squad rule nowadays.

I always had high hopes for Gos, i also believe that a proper run in the team would have done him the world of good but realistically he is never going to be put on before Cabaye or Tiote, even on the wings he wouldnt have a chance. Depending on how long he is injured for he could be useful outside of league games, the bigger the squad the better and its more than obvious that he has got talent, its just getting the talent out of him that seems to be the problem.

We don't really know that much about Abeid, Bigi or Amalfitano. The first two have impressed me in the couple of games they've played, Amalfitano less so. I would rate the three of them and Gosling under the "promising" category. I wouldn't get rid of any of them this season. We will be able to sell the worst of the group for a coupld of million next season.

Let's see how things pan out. with 50 odd (some of them probably very odd) games of football to get through this season, an additional promising player or two will do no harm

Very injury prone of course and I'm not sure he is good enough being honest. Looks painfully slow and I just haven't been impressed all round. The only positive I can say is he does seem a bit of a johnny on the spot. Nearly every appearance has seen him have a half decent chance at some stage.

    Sell for me.
