As I said before, I still think 1.5 is a lot to be paying but again like all the other players mcinnes has brought in, theres potential. Just hope we can get a striker sooner rather than later

Yes £1.5m is a lot of money (if this is true) but Baldock is a quality player who is still very young and has three years to run on his current contract.

It fits Dels style of picking up young players who have something to prove.

Personally I really hope this one is true as he could be a perfect partner for Stead.

This would be a very good acquisition if it comes off - the language of the article suggests it's an informed piece.
When DM talks about gettin g in "2 or 3" I'm assuming the "2" are a striker and a cenre-half, with the third lesser priority another midfield player.

Not sure about the value in this deal.

If, back in Jan, WHU had offered Baldock + £100k for Maynard how many would have said that was a
good bit of business? I don't see that it is. I know NM was running down his contract but still they
would have got by far the better of the swap if this happens IMHO.

Why would WHU take a loss when he has 3 years on his contract?

Erm to get him of the wage bill, plus he don't want to be sitting on the bench all season.

BEP saying that would only cost us £250k up front with rest in installments (taking off what is still due for Maynard)

Just watched a you tube link of Baldock on OTIB, sorry but I can't copy and paste it here if anyone can could you please do it.

He is fast and scores from inside and outside the box, he looks like as someone else said on OTIB a poor mans Micheal Owen. <ok>

Yep that's the one, but it now seems we are after Steve Davis.
