If this was England I would be quietly confident of us putting a few past them. For some reason I'm wary. Why are our striking options so limited? As an aside was Andy Carol not allowed to play? Sturridge looked right out of sorts against Senegal. If it hadn't been for Bellamy working so hard we could have been up **** creek.
Thank **** for that. Giggs first touch is looking rusty, his goal may bring out the Giggs we all know. Nice of them to give that young lad Sordell a work experience placement for team GB. I'm just wondering what they based their decision on? Did he have his own bus pass or something?

Cleverly is coming of age tonight, he's having a cracker for me, Giggs & Bellamy also, good first goal and Cleverly's attempt would have been class if it had gone in. Same again second half.

Didn't take much notice of the lighting but...... I was getting bored with the actual ceremony, it was getting like pulling teeth. And if Macca was going to do a John Lennon song surely "Imagine" would have been more apt than "Hey Jude". Was it just me or was the actual sound quality crapp too?
Bellamy was fantastic here at Newcastle, on the pitch he always gave everything and that's why he always got cheered even though every sane person disliked him personally (he always comes across as a tosser and was in court a handful of times in the last decade). Can't fault his ability or effort though. There's a few players who aren't there because they were exempted due to being in the Euros with England (Carroll, Henderson, Welbeck, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Phil Jones) and if you consider that bunch as well as a fit Bale and Wilshere we could have had genuine medal contenders i reckon. Also, where is Jack Rodwell as i don't recall him being in the Euro squad! With the current squad i would consider one up front as the midfield are strong but striking we just have sturridge with quality (and Bellamy but he often plays wide and can't play all game every game).
