I changed my user name on there a couple of times but can't remember them. I used to enjoy the trolling arsenal fans. Can't think why they took such a dislike to us
The_Sultan back in 2001-2004 and then Horsham_Tiger........... How much of my life have I wasted on these forums?
I was on 606 but have changed my username that many times here and on other sites that can't remember what it was
I was Tommytiger on there, Tommytiger on here. Agree about this board being superior as well, plus I think with a board like this you are always going to get more people joining.
I was TigerJames but it felt a tad childish so I made the switch to DaredtoDream (not sure that's much of an improvement to be fair), brought it to Not606 and then switched again to J-D a few months ago. This has turned out to be a far more interesting thread than I originally thought, there's a few old names(ie Midlands Tiger, Elrooj) mentioned who I'd assumed had found another forum to roam.
I was robingram02 on 606 as well. Can't remember how long i'd been on there. Prob a year or something.
Think the first thread i started on 606 was: Craig ***an- Striker? Hit or myth? FFS that c*** cant be coming back can he??
i remember spending my first 6 months argueing with everybody about Ashbee, it was full of non believers..
I was on there, same username, never been arsed enough to change it. It seemed easier to wind up Leeds fans on the old site, not sure why, maybe there were just more of them then
I used to drop in on the old 606 from time to time. From memory, the names I seemed to see most were OLM; TigerTerry; DJBlackandAmberArmy; FLG; midlandstiger; petersaxton; fantastictigerpat and westandtiger. There was also Ricardo, I think, and a guy with some Latin sounding name who usually had intelligent contributions to make, but I forget what it was. Aah - was it ineroambi or something similar? I heard that TigerTerry had sadly passed away, and is no doubt now bashing at a keyboard in a very different place faraway, but it seems the others are still around in some shape or form - with the notable exception of westandtiger and the Latin chap. Maybe they lurk silently on here under different usernames? loyaltigerbrian was, as I recall, a relative latecomer to the scene, but seems to live on in the memory of most of those who encountered him. I've seen mention of brian and his offbeat rants a few times already. Brings back some happy memories.........
The mods on 606 were a set of precious pussy's. I remember once I was fumming that a comment I made about the bin dippers got removed. Can't remember exactly what, might have been along the lines of pointing out they have never won the premier league. Nothing offensive and on topic. About 75% of the posts on here would have never made it and doveston would be under some kind of restraining order.
I still miss TigerTerry, but I think news of his demise may gave been somewhat eggarated, about six months afters news of his untimely death, he posted that he was no longer posting but might pop back for a coffee from time to time. To bring back a few memories, here's a thread from back when we'd just secured a second season in the Premier League(Forest Pines was a temporary name for Westandtiger) http://news.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A51974238 You still lurking Terry and Westandtiger? Anyone remember the mad butcher? He knew his meat, like Brian knew his onions.
Was a long term viewer of the old 606, and only started contributing very late in it's existence (as TigerPaul). I still read some articles on the BBC sport website and there's a lot of comments that get pulled up for breaking house rules, the moderators on there are definetly over zealous, christ knows what they'd make to the babe of the day threads and comments from the likes of Doveston! It's good that pretty much all of the decent posters from the old forum made it to this site and continued with largely interesting and thoughtful discussion/debate. It's a shame that not all the other forums are as populated as this, after most games there would be a few opposing fans from a given match commenting on a thread we'd made post match. Still, there's good debate with Leeds and Leicester fans!
