I think Charlie is right. After losing a friendly I think we should accept we're going to get relegated. We should sack Nigel and release all he players. We should also acknowledge the fact Hull are destined for the top because they beat Rochdale
I thought the point of pre-season friendlies were to get the correct formation, positions and some chemistry between the players. Not to lose to dire sides.
Erm.................................What do you think Pearson was doing? - The result is totally meaningless - You see when you play a pre-sea......................oh **** it you wouln't understand
Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, .... you really do love us don't you?...... before you take too much satisfaction from our pre-season reverse just bare in mind that only a couple of years ago Newcastle got beat 6-1 to Orient (yes Orient) in a pre-season friendly before going on to walk away with this division ..... careful what you wish for ....
So Shrewsbury are a mediocre team eh! Leicester did well to only hold us to 2-0, seeing as we were 3-0 up by half-time at Derby and beat Swansea 3-0 in the Carling Cup last season. In all seriousness, having seen Birmingham on Tuesday and Leicester today, I know that I would rather put my money on the former for promotion unless there is drastic surgery at the latter.
Well done - You won the biggest game in your history the sad thing for your theory is we treated it just what it was A pre-****ing-season friendly
Oh great now we have all three shrewsbury fans on here - God help L1 next season - You lot are going to go down like a French kiss at a family reunion
The irony from a Shrewsbury fan. Bearing in mind our reject is playing in goal for them. At least you enjoyed your cup final We really arent bothered about playing Shrewsbury in a friendly
Very well thanks Charles. 90 minutes of team gelling and match fitness for our, like you keep saying, strong squad. I'm sure you're buzzing after your David Vs. Goliath victory....
