One of Europe's greatest club's visited St.Fairy's today as I was channel hopping. I had to pause and laugh uncontrollably at the dismal attendance, are all the Scummers on holiday I wondered?

Then my mind drifted back to when one of Europe's greats visited Fratton Park a short few seasons ago, I don't know what the attendance actually is or was down the road, but I hope you all agree our atmosphere and support of our team was far , far superior! I wonder if they actually managed to get a 1000 supporters in there, it actually looked less from the brief glimpse's I saw before changing channels to watch something much more worthwhile!<laugh>

Premier League ,you are having a laugh!<laugh>

Surely a more interesting number is the number of players on the pitch. We had 11. Could Pompey manage a 5-a-side at the mo?

    Attendance today 5,713

Not really bothered what it was to be honest.

But if it makes you feel better to think if us than your own club on a life support machine then so be it.

Believe it or not I think cycling may have done for this game. The country has latched onto the sport since Wiggo won the tour.

I am outraged that a stonewall cheat has won the gold medal, by the way.

I saw the end of the race pm and was obviously disappointed there wasn't a GB rider in site, especially Cav.
I have no idea who the winner was but you say he is a cheat, is that something to do with drugs ?

Oh by the way pm, we played the dutch champions today in a pre season televised game, which is quite unusual I believe. I suppose being back on the Prem has its perks.
I thought we gave a very good account of ourselves and were very unlucky to lose, but I just wondered with so much going on at the Olympics if you caught the game and if so, what a unbiased fan thought ?

It,s what happens when the real season starts that will count.
We are not particularly interested in games with no meaning.
By the way, did you notice our superb 17yr olds on the park?
We know how to bring them through!
Looking forward to the 10th of August - could be quite a day!

Disappointing turn out but fair play to the Ajax fans who turned up. I think the three friendlies have been a bit of overkill. Singing Blue is fair to point out that Saints fans would be quick to point out the dismal attendence had the boot been on the other foot. Think the Olympics and weather proved more attractive.

Well, I have to agree, Devo. Bear in mind that SB3 considers you a Scummer and a pony-fiddler. Or were you just being careful in the way you handled someone for whom Meowth holds power of attorney, Ian?

Vino, as he's known, took part with other members of team Astana, in blood transfusions to boost red cell count, thus improving the ability of carrying more oxygen to the muscles and improving aerobic performance.

The sickest, most macabre form of doping there is, in my book.

He received a lengthy ban and has never apologised and has no right to even be at these games as far as I can see. The same applies to David Miller of GBR while we are at it, EPO (which can produce abnormally high levels of red cells and could lead to heart failure) possession of, in his case.

Not sure where I stand on life or long bans. I felt Dwaine Chambers had served his sentence with apologising and working hard with children in the community's to show drugs are wrong and not needed.
I don't know of this cyclist and how long his ban was but if he never apologised and put nothing back into ground route cycling then I would totally agree with you.
People make mistakes in life and I believe if there is a genuine guilt and and need to show children and adults not to make the same mistakes, then there is hope and a fresh chance will come in time.

Well if we did, and we might well, we would know that we were just winding you up. SB3 has long ago reached the point where he can't tell the difference.
