Morning Troops, Norwich City new boy Robert Snodgrass revealed City Hall of Famer Adam Drury had a role to play in his Canariesâ move from Leeds. Snodds was quoted as saying :- âI know the two Leeds boys and Iâve played with a few of the other lads as part of the national team and I know Wesley Hoolahan as well. Itâs a great club. Bradley and Jonno have said the same and Adam Drury sold the club to us really well as well. Thoughts??? Warnock has failed in his bid to sign every single Portsmouth footballer. Geg Halford has signed for Forest. Huddersfield have given up on signing Lee Peltier after a £750,000 offer was rejected. Warnock is now expected to up his offer. Is he worth it?
Morning. Not impressed with the players Warnock has brought in, but time will tell if he has played this right. It appears to me the amount of Pompey players he has brought in, is simply due to the fact they were free and not about their footballing ability, same old Leeds. I have no confidence in Warnock at present and unlike some, do not see next season as anything more than more misery. I don't fall for the takeover bullshit anymore and I'm 100% miserable with Leeds United. End of grumpy post. Life's a bitch when yer down innit?
I expect promotion this coming season. There is no reason why we shouldn't be aiming for promotion, except a manager getting the squad all wrong and the club looking at other business projects....
"Aiming" for promotion is completely different from "expecting" promotion, boab. The former is exactly what every club should try to do, the latter is just a bad attitude, like Leicester's last year. My opinion is that the squad is "all right" at the moment, although the time needed foir all these players to gel may prevent us from giving it a real go.
Snodds leaves wind fond memories :- "I'd like to take this opportunity to thank every single person connected with Leeds United for your support over the past four years," Snodgrass told the club's official website. He added: "I felt the frustration of the Leeds United fans last season and that is why I stayed on a further year to try and help the club back to where they belong. "I would also like to take his opportunity to wish Neil Warnock and his backroom staff all the best for the new season and the near future."
Afternoon all - I would have preferred Halford on a free over £750k Peltier and to not bother with Varney and or Norris. I would say piss off to Leicester on Peltier, it seems ludicrous to blow that type of money on him, however like I mentioned in another thread, a lot of teams looking to strengthen and not a lot about. It seems we are the only team in this division who have needed to sell their best players in order to finance a bunch of average joes.
Do you think the same about Strachan, McAllister and any other player who chooses to leave us? Or just the ones who don't do as your beloved Warnock wishes?
