Apparently he answered Qs about potential targets including Beckford and Boyd. Can anyone confirm what he said?

Just said those were the "sort of player he was looking at". Personally I would hate Boyd, just Snoddy but worse in every single aspect of his game.

It doesn't take a professional manager to see George Boyd would be a massive step down. Never made the grade above League 1 and likes being a big fish in a small pond.

Beckford would be absolutely worth it.

George Boyd is the laziest player I have ever seen - great going forward but certainly do not expect him to work back at all. We can't afford that type of player

Is Beckford Warnocks type of player? I wouldn't have thought so - Warnock, like Pearson likes his players to put a bit of a shift in and be sweating when they come off - I think we all know that isn't Beckford's style - He's deadly when the whole team is shaped up to play to his strengths but looks a bit of a passenger at all other times - Plus there is a big problem with the sort of money he will be on at Leicester - It would ruin your dressing room if he got paid that much and would he take a massive pay cut?

With respect Manc I'm sorry but I disagree - And the reason I disagree is because I go with the old adage "manners maketh man" Now if we can just return to my comments on Beckford <ok>

Most hilariously inadvertent hypocrisy I've ever seen. Like Beckford's gonna be charging back to rescue our defence when pitching-in and tracking-back is the order of the day. Like he's gonna even try to win headers. Like he's gonna chase defenders rather than just stand there with his ickle gloves on. I love the guy, but like you say, if we can't afford that type of players, you've gotta be consistent about it.

    Like Taraabt did?

I think if leeds united had the opportunity to sign beckford, on reasonable grounds we'd be idiots not to take him back. I don't think he is the type of player we should be looking at but he'd be a very worthy addition

But Taraabt played with passion and heart - Beckford looks like he couldn't care less and was no different when he played for Leeds

Even if we wanted Beckford back...

He is doing much more to help Leeds by draining Leicester's resources and causing player unrest....

Keep up the great work Jermaine, your selfless wage collecting has not gone un-noticed up North!

On the contrary Jerel, the last season with Beckford he was really putting in a shift (granted he won't challenge for headers, but that's cos he's a big girl's blouse and needs Becchio or Kandol to do that for him).

It was quite an amazing turnaround to see him doing his shift, but I wasn't sorry when he left - we had to play directly for him and when it wasn't working or he wasn't on the pitch there was no Plan B. But I still think, looking back, he gave us exactly what we have missed since he left - pace up front. With better players in the squad and him able to run off the shoulder, I think we would have a massive chance to be promoted.

From what I have seen with Beckford at Leicester is that the manager has not played the team to his strengths. And if you have Beckford, that is the only way you can play - to his strengths. And you will make chances galore.

Pfft.... Taraabt didn't play with passion and heart, he did what he wanted all of the time.

You may have gotten that from Beckford but he is a class player. He can be lazy, granted but he is a real danger man for defences

Trabt scored 19 goals the season they went up - Any manager would allow a midfielder to do that with that sort of return <ok>
